Without knowing how the other end is going to get the menu, there isn’t much anyone can do. Producing such a menu wouldn’t be difficult even if you had to run Wayfinder inside of another snippet and use its output in that snippet to generate an XML file, the external site still has to "consume" the data in some manner.

Sue you’re becoming my number one helper on here....
Actually never thought about how the other site will take the info. I’m creating strict XHTML sites after some pointers from my last showing of a website on here... I would like to have the feed results encapsulated in a div.... all i need is the basics and I can learn how from there. As long as I can see a working version, all be it basic I should be able to understand how it’s done. The external site is pretty much the same code as the modx site as I used the said template I created.

Well, you could create a MODx page with a very simple template just to contain the menu, and just have a Wayfinder call in it, then embed that page (full URL) in the remote site where you want the menu to appear. Then it would be kept updated as well.

That sounds fairly simple I suppose... would <object type="text/html" data="http://</object> be an acceptable way to include the page on a xhtml strict site?

I have the menu appearing but if I click the links they are loading in to the object window rather than in to the parent window... Perhaps this idea won’t work?
IE is showing a blank box... Just noticed that.
