    & or & doesn’t seem to make any difference I did try that as I noticed my Maxigallery call was using & instead of &.

    Here is the call. It is located in the sidebar-a div of my template since I want it to appear site wide. However all i get is an inline list of links all of which take there styles from the .s3 class. The links all work, its just i’m not getting a cloud or any different styling.

    [!TvTagCloud? &parent=`54` &landing=`32` &tvTags=`tags` &showCount=`1` &steps=`1,4,100` &styles=`s5,s4,s3,s2,s1` &displayType=`cloud`!]

    css
    .s1 {
    font-size:100%;
    }
    .s2 {
    font-size:125%;
    }
    .s3 {
    font-size:140%;
    }
    .s4 {
    font-size:180%;
    }
    .s5 {
    font-size:210%;
    }

      some things that may or may not help:

      a) The &steps parameters are percentages of the highest number - hence ’20, 70, 100’ in mine.  Is it possible that, with ’1,4,100’ all your tags are genuinely the same size (style s3 - third on the list)?
      b) There is no point having more &styles than &steps. I think the snippet may only use the first three styles if just three steps exist.
      c) I think the default &displayType is cloud. I don’t have an &displayType parameter in my snippet call and it results in a cloud. Consider removing?

      hope this triggers something.

        I see. The documentary on the Modxcms page doesn’t make that clear.

        steps - comma separated list of the numeric intervals to determine the size of the tag class (i.e. how many times must a tag appear before it increases in size)

        I have something resembling a tagcloud now, that I can play with to learn more. Thanks for helping out.

          Just passing on what I have learned the hard way, too. :0)

            has anyone experienced any issues with paginating TvTagCloud results via Ditto?
            Calling the following:
            [!Ditto? &parents=`0` &tpl=`tagResults` &tagData=`documentTags` &depth=`3` &tagDelimiter=`, ` &display=`3` &paginate=`1` !]
            [!splitPagination? &return=`1`!]

            But gets stuck on page 1. Pagination shows relevant number of (clickable) pages of results but can’t seem to get beyond page 1 (i.e. clicking on page 2 still returns first 3 results).

            MODx version 0.9.6 (rev 2767)

            PHP Version 5.1.4
            Apache Version 2.2.2
            MySQL Version 5.0.21

            Ditto version version 2.0.1
            TvTagCloud version 2.1.4

            Cheers

              So, I’m trying to set up a tag cloud (obviously smiley) However, nothing displays. Here’s what I’ve got:

              - A chunk ( {{sidebar}} ) that I would like to place the cloud in, with the following call:
              [!TvTagCloud? &parent=`4010` &landing=`4017` &tvTags=`docTags` &showCount=`1` &min=`0`!]

              - Landing page with an ID of 4017:
              [!Ditto? &startID=`4010` &tagData=`docTags` &tagDelimiter=`,`!]

              - Template Variable called docTags... what exactly do you put in the fields for this TV? Ex: Input Option Values, Default Value, etc??

              - The instructions in the repo say to "Then go into each document and add some tags i.e. modx,snippet,ajax." Do you put this in the META keywords area? If not, where do you put these tags? (FYI, this is where I did put my tags, so the problem of the tag cloud not showing anything could be because this isn’t where the tags go).

              Thanks to anyone that can help...

                It depends on how you want to set up the tags. I use two different methods for creating the TV.

                1. Use the "Check Box" Input Type for a pre-defined list of tags and place those in the Input Option Values e.g. modx||snippet||ajax
                2. For an unlimited tagging system, use the "Text" Input Type and set the delimiter to a , or ; then enter the tags in the TV field for each document.

                  bob1000,

                  I went the route of checkboxes for now. I now have checkboxes on the page which I want to include the cloud.. but nothing displays still.

                  See what I mean here: http://www.damonbauer.com/color-pattern-and-texture-resources.html

                  Any thoughts?

                      Ahh that was the problem. I used the not-newest version of the Tag Cloud.. I feel like an idiot laugh
