      Greetings,

I’m trying to get this to work with a sub folder, I’m new to modx, snippets and all that good stuff so I’m most likely just missing something here is what I’ve done and tried:

      Site it’s on: http://www.tapanime.com/cms/seriesinfo.php

      Being called like:
      [!a-z? &intro='Pick a Letter' &norecords='Not here yet' &summary='pagetitle' &startid='23' &hidemenu='false'!]

I have tried the hidemenu as true and the startid as 0 and tried no summary. I used each option for the id as well hidemneu true / false and summary/no summary

When i call it without any extra stuff as in:
      [!a-z!]

It shows all my stuff that is show in menu just fine.

The startid 23 is a sub sub folder. (Main folder is: Series Info -ID:22 and this folder is Anime -ID:23). I have one document in the anime folder called: Ai no Kusabi

      Series Folder:
      Type: Folder
Parent Folder: None (off the main site)
      ID: 22
      Title: Series Info
      Document’s alias: seriesinfo
      Show in menu: Checked

      Anime Folder:
      Type: Folder
      Parent Folder: Series Info
      ID: 23
      Title: Anime
      Document’s alias: seriesanime
      Show in menu: Un-Checked

      Anime Folder:
      Type: Document
      Parent Folder: Anime
      ID: 24
      Title: Ai no Kusabi
      Document’s alias: ainokusabi
      Show in menu: Un-Checked

I looked over it a few times I just can’t see what I’m doing wrong. I’m sure it’s something simple since I’m new to all this.

      Rest of site Info:
      Webserver:
      PHP version - 4.3.11
      MySQL version - 4.1.21-standard
Operating System and version - Linux and Apache 1.3.33

Browser name and version - FireFox 1.5.0.7
Operating System and version - Windows XP Home and added SP1

Thanks to all who read this and help me get this fixed up.

First of all, make sure you use backticks ( ` ) in the snippet call and not single quotes ( ’ ). I can’t see anything else wrong with the snippet call aside from the wrong use of quotes so should work if you change that.

          Garryn,

That was it, I knew I had to be doing something stupid or wrong.

          Thank you very much Garryn.

          Peace

This could be me, but I can’t get this to work in 9.5 beta using the same calls I had in 9.2.

Hi leezig, I’ll have to check it out ... to be honest, I haven’t tested it yet in 0.9.5 but if there is a problem I’ll get a patch release out asap.

Hi banzai, could you please post the snippet call you are using. Seems to be working fine at my end so it can’t be much that’s making it not work.

I’m using the example call from your site smiley
                    [!a-z? &intro=`Please choose a letter from the above selection` &norecords=`Sorry, no pages have been found for this page` &summary=`longtitle` &startid=`83,16` &hidemenu=`false`!]

Interesting undecided ... well, I’m working on an update for this snippet this week so hopefully I can iron out any issues as I go along - really not sure why that isn’t working, it’s fine at my end on a fresh 095 release checkout from SVN. What version of PHP and mySQL are you using?
