I’m not sure what to tell you. It works fine for me if I paste in your snippet tag. I would not have a space in a resource group name, but I doubt if that’s your problem.
All I can suggest is that you make sure the template attached to the NewsPublisher resource is valid HTML and that you haven’t changed any of the built-in Tpl chunks.
You are correct about the cancel button. It does default to Yes, and that property should have been removed. If you don’t want a cancel button, you can just remove it from the outer template.
Datepicker does default to Yes (mistake in the description) because there are a couple of date fields in the default value of &show.
I’ve uploaded V 1.0.4. It may not be available in Package Manager yet, but you can get it here:
https://github.com/BobRay/newspublisher (download button). Just download it to /core/packages and do Add Package + Search Locally for Packages in PM.
Before you download it, I’d advise both uninstalling and removing the the 1.0.2 version first, since you’re having trouble.
Your NewsPublisher resource won’t be affected.

I know that’s been reported before, but I was hoping the latest version of the tinymce extra had fixed that.
Also, there doesn’t appear to be a way for the front-end user to toggle between tinymce and plain text editing (i.e. editing the raw HTML).
I’m afraid there’s still a bug in TinyMCe’s tiny.js file that makes it look for modx-panel-resource in the front end whenever you click on a toolbar button (feel free to suggest a fix

I think that as soon as that’s fixed, TinyMCE’s HTML toggle button will work as well.

Put the NewsPublisher page in a resource group and connect that resource group with any user group(s) you would like to be able to see it. Use a Resource Group Access ACL entry with a context of ’web’ (or other front-end context) and a policy of Resource.
no. I need to make the page visible to all, and the snippet only worked if I allow a user.
