Support/Comments for NewsPublisher 1.0.1-Beta-1

This looks really good and I had to give it a test. This would be perfect for me, as I imagine for many. I could have very nice control over what the people who post on my site see - for my sake as well as theirs Unfortunatelly I couldn’t get any parameter to work. When I call it with

it works exactly as it should, but when I try to add a parameter (I have tried a few already) the form doesn’t show up at all anymore. Example:

I expect that I have screwed up something myself, because that’s how the plot usually continues from here on Have I left a parameter out that I need to add?

Mostly. There’s no image browser for image TVs (though it does show the path and the image) and it may or may not do what you want with TVs that have @bindings. Otherwise, I think they’re fairly well handled.

Btw, this is an awesome add-on. Probably the one that Revo needed the most.

But I need to ask more I swear that I don’t have a typo, but I can’t get the &template parameter to work. Instead the default template gets used. Problem lies in that the content that gets posted uses different templates and I have set up a NP form for each template. I didn’t find the template parameter from your site, but it was in the snippet file as well as in the properties. Which makes me wonder that is it there only as a placeholder of sorts? Am I trying to use a parameter that doesn’t exist or have I once again missed something obvious?

Try setting &template to the ID of the template you want.

You can also set it to ’Parent’ and it will get whatever template the parent has.

I actually tried the ID already and it didn’t work neither. I can look into the parent thing at some point, but currently the parent uses a list template which is different from the template that I need to use. There could be a lot of work in changing the templates.

If the parameter should work and works for other folk, and I don’t have typos, the fault is probably in my installation. I had problems with infinite refresh when trying to log in with Chrome, which were fixed when I upgraded, but maybe something is still wrong.

Let me test it and get back to you. It could be a bug in the add-on.

There is a bug that might keep it from working with the template’s ID, but it works fine for me using the name. Check the spelling of the template name -- it’s case-sensitive.

Well then it has to be because of my installation. It just doesn’t work for me or I can’t get it to work. I promise that I’ve double triple quatro checked for typos. I might try reinstalling the whole thing at some point.
