Seems like the check isn’t sufficient. I still loose comments...

I am on the latest patched rvo
the site has been moved from localhost were it worked flawlessly to a remote host, everytime there is a refresh or a preview or a change to the quip and quip reply call, the page loses all css? I looked at the source code and the line for the link for the css is gone.

the call is this [[!Quip? &thread=`blog-post-[[*id]]` &threading=`0`]]

client’s host is dreamhost
and I placed it in the template for pages which will be used for blog posts. I can figure out what it is, tried resetting friendly urls, file system paths, nothing seems to work. please any suggestions, this is a live site and the client really needed this feature for a community building effort.

I have also set the page to not chacheable and back no change between clearing cache

What do you mean with losing CSS? Quip called like you do, loads a standard CSS. Maybe this overwrites your CSS settings?

I appear to be having this same issue as fthieme above as well. Comments are approved automatically and non-logged in visitors can remove comments with one click. Comments aren’t showing up in Manager for approval either. I’ve attached a screenshot and below is my Quip snippet call:

Anyone know how to fix this? Without a comment moderation and only allowing Manager users to remove comments I can’t have comments on my first Revo blog project! sad

I "fixed" it by commenting out the following lines in core/components/quip/processors/web/comment/remove.php

$comment->set('deleted',true);
$comment->set('deletedon',strftime('%Y-%m-%d %H:%M:%S'));
$comment->set('deletedby',$modx->user->get('id'));

So actually no action is taken by clicking on the links...

Thanks for the post, fthieme. I also noticed that these two links can be turned off in the Properties tab for the snippet entitled "Quip". I still find it weird that I can’t get any sort of moderation to work though (including having only logged in users even remove comments, let alone approve them to begin with under the components menu). You would think it would work like this by default. Halp! Anyone? Otherwise I think I gotta ditch comments altogether on this blog project (which saddens me).

You have to include &moderate=`1` in your QuipReply call. Works on my site...

Ugh... ok, so I replied way too fast due to excitement. I checked Components > Quip after flushing permissions, clearing cache and flushing all sessions (and clearing the browser cache) and I saw nothing—this was after posting a new comment (with a name and email other than my own). I never received an email notifications and as I said, Components > Quip was still empty. Below is my snippet call. Are there properties I should check or system settings?
