This snippet allows you to use a form to upload files directly to your account. You can use the filepath parameter and send the file to different directories that sync to different machines.

I can’t seem to get this to work.

I can select a file and click "upload file" but then nothing happens.

No "success" or "error" message, and no new file in my dropbox.

But on a Revo install I allways get "Error: dropboxuploader.error_tmp"

I couldn’t find any hints about that.

I had a similar problem - you can try and change your read/write permissions at the component - that worked for me.

I tried both the dropboxuploader folders in assets/components and core/components but no better result.

For me it seems that you tmp folder on your server are not accessible for uploads - maybe you can contact the hosting company to get more help.

You mean, there is (should be) a standart tmp folder, that is’nt accessible for my modx install.?
Can’t it be redirected i.e.?

That’s correct: When you upload a file from your webpage, it will temporarily be placed in the tmp folder, until finished. After that it will be forwarded to a dropbox server.

You can try to make a folder yourself, and edit the path to it in the snippet.

fine, Henrik, that did the trick, I’ve pointed the snippet to an exising "../phptmp" dir. So now it works, thanx so much.
