Hello,

every time I try to install tinymce I get the following error: "Package not found".
I already updated the ZipArchive extension and extracted the package manually.

The package is OK.

Environment information:
Debian (lenny)
Apache (2.2.9)
PHP (5.2.6-1+lenny9)
PHP Zip Plugin (1.8.11)
MySQL (5.0.51a-24+lenny4-log)

Is it possible to install tinymce manually?

For one, you are using PHP 5.2.6, which is an outdated version of PHP; this might also be a source of your errors. Also, 1.8.11 is *not* the latest ZipArchive - it’s actually 1.9.1, with a libzip version of 0.9.0.

That said, we’re working on an alternative solution for users using a problematic ZipArchive extension. We don’t have an ETA on it, however, since we personally cant replicate the issues, and there is a lack of alternatives to ziparchive.

Yes. First, remove it entirely, then upload the transport.zip to core/packages/, extract it manually, and then click ’Add New Package’ on the packages grid, then click ’Scan for Local’.

After upgrading to PHP 5.3.3 I still got the same error.

Disabling APC removed the problem but now I have an empty console every time I install / deinstall anything...

Upon upgrading to TinyMCE 4.0.3-rc1, I can no longer Add New Resources with TinyMCE plugin active. Editing existing resources seems to be working fine, however.

I have to update my PHP version as well, which I can’t do right now, but until then I wanted to install tinymce manually - I followed your instructions and I can see the extracted package in the terminal but the Package Manger can’t find it - it scans and then does nothing. No error logs either. Where could the problem be?
