When trying to log in, all I get is the Evo site's not found page. I wrote up a quick snippet using cURL with the same URL to the Evo site's manager and feeding it the username and password as Provisioner's code does, and it worked just fine.
You have installed the gateway code in the remote evo site I take it?
Use MODx, or the cat gets it!

Yes, I did. And permissions are all OK, so the files can be read.
