On a different note : can anyone point me to an example of showing one image on a page, along with all it’s comments? I’d like to add in a list of my area tags, and then be able to print the page off. I seem to be tangling myself up between "landingpage", "page_tpl" and "tpl". I’ve tried pulling some of the default html templates into chunks, but the placeholders don’t seem to be set. So somehow I’m not triggering the PHP code for comments. I think ...

Hi Goldsky,
first of all i’d like to thank you for an excellent module and for all your hard work.
I’ve just discovered Easy2Gallery and have been trying to adapt it to my project structure. I build websites for clients and use a single template project as the starting point for all clients. In the course of my work i have settled a a number of components and libraries that i find the most flexible and that fit well together without conflicts. One of them is a jQuery Tools library which I use for most JS interactive components. Which brings me to my question.
After going through the gallery documentation and reading through the entire forum support thread i’m still a bit confused about the integration of core gallery with the 3rd party libraries and slideshows that are distributed with the gallery. It seems that there’s no easy way to decouple them and just get the gallery snippet to return a list of pictures. If i missed a way to do that please let me know.
But if there’s currently no way to decouple them i would like to suggest it for inclusion. My thinking is the following:
There will always be new gallery and slideshow scripts and trying to keep up with all of them and include them will take way too much time. Instead it would be better to provide a robust gallery that manages, manipulates, and retrieves images very well, and can be templated into any gallery or slideshow component. Sort of like Ditto for images. That way templates can be used to format images returned by the snippet call into syntax required for any component.
Again, pleas let me know if this is currently possible and i just did not find it.

When do you expect to release RC2?
Please also consider not including javascript calls by default.
I prefer to control all JS includes from a single config.js file. That way my custom js is loaded only once and there’s a single place to tweak JS components.
Different sites have different JS and CSS management architectures. I believe that an add-on component should not assume any particular one and instead rely on the site developer to specify how it should be integrated.
