I’m updating this module and have completed the standard (current) feature,
So here are the fixes:
1. file’s/folder’s name will not be renamed again
2. comment with email validation
3. each of folders will have index.html (Unautorized Direct Access to folder), each time of directory creation or each time synchro action finds a folder doesn’t have index.html.
4. as #3, this time synchro will exclude index.html, index.htm, index.php, Thumbs.db for the database synchronization.
5. editing directory name will also rename the real folder’s name.

Under completion:
6. Restoring the file’s/folder’s name from the previous release.

Now, I’m stucked with 1 (one) BIG problem: memory allocation.

This problem should be solved before this version is released, because I do believe there will be a LOT of names restoration.
My own obstacle is about renaming 1500+ files (400+ MB) of images in the web server!

I’ve googled and I found about changing the .htaccess / php memory limit.
But it won’t be succeeded in share hosting.
phpMyAdmin and SMF have a ’pause’ process while they are importing data or updating system.

If you have any idea how to handle this, give me shout.

Hi Temus and Goldsky,

on a gallery i just finished at http://www.wecweddings.com/maki-and-danny.html the client wanted the thumbnails to be number of the images. So if there are 40 images in gallery, they would want the thumbs to be numbered 1 through 40. The only way I could figure out how to do this was to change the thumbnail template to

<div class="thumb">
<a id="[+easy2:name+]" href="assets/modules/easy2/show.easy2gallery.php?id=[+easy2:id+]" title="[+easy2:title+] - [+easy2:description+]" [+easy2:glibact+]> [+easy2:name+] </a>
</div>

where the name is manually entered for each image. This method leaves a lot to be desired.

How can I make the above thumb link text dynamically pull from the item number inside the directory; how to get it to look inside the gid parameter directory, count the number of files and then output this images place in the count. I don’t want the filename, or the [+easy2:name+] parameter, or the [+easy2:id+]. The id parameter doesn’t help because it keeps a count of all images in all the folders not images per folder.

Slide show pro automatically does this and I would like the same functionality (with the accessabilty of the Javascript slideshow) so it is easy for my client to add slideshows to the site after I hand it over to him.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

why not use &limit=`1` and let the crumbs make the link?

On second thought, this method works, but it has the downside of doing a page refresh. The end user is going to have to wait longer while the page elements reload. I guess I would then ask for this as a feature request for the new version of if there is a a way to count files in a directory and then put a number on each image as to where it is in the count.

I like everything about your idea except the page refresh:

I like that it shows the thumb numbers, I like that it shows the highlighted, or current thumb too.

You will need to change that line

$_e2g['content'] .= $notables ? filler($tpl_thumb, $l) : '<td>'.filler($tpl_thumb, $l).'</td>';

to

$l['pos']=$i+1;
$_e2g['content'] .= $notables ? filler($tpl_thumb, $l) : '<td>'.filler($tpl_thumb, $l).'</td>';

in the "easy2" snippet, and use [+easy2:pos+]

Hi Temus,

Thank you so much!!! One more feature request(I hope it is the last).

How to show which thumb is active. And to have it work with the thumb buttons below image and with the prev and next links too. http://gti.websitewelcome.com/~wecphoto/gallery1.html is an example of a gallery where I’d like to have the thumbs style differently if they are active. Is this possible. Any pointers would help me a bunch.

Is this a jQuery issue?

This is odd.
What is your manager’s default language?

@Goldsky: I had exactly the same problem, with german as my default manager language.

Modx 1.0.2, uploaded with Transmit from an OS X system, both tried with Opera and Safari. Didn’t work even after downloading it again from the site and re-uploading it.

I solved it for me by changing the default fall-back language in /assets/modules/easy2/install/index.php line 7

include '../assets/modules/easy2/install/langs/russian.inc.php';

to

include '../assets/modules/easy2/install/langs/english.inc.php';
