Hi everybody,

** solved **

i’m experiencing an odd behaviour in Firefox (2/3/3.5) all other browsers are fine IE6/7 Chrome, Safari, Opera
- this happens with fancybox & shadowbox

just before the full image has been loaded, an image icon will be displayed for a short time (see screenshot) on the upper left side.

this happens because the image is loaded via url parameter (gallery.php?id=45), if it’s loaded with an direct path to the image (tested it hardcoded), it will display as expected

my thumbnail and image source looks like this:

does anyone know how i can fix this?

aaah, another question

what’s difference between the thumbnails settings in the module for width & height and within the gallery call (&w=100&h=100&) ? are thumbnails always cropped, or is there a setting which allows to keep the aspect ratio?

Module sets the default config, while you can call differently by snippet, then it will use the last one.
Config>Thumbnail Settings>Thumbnail resize: resize?
or in snippet call: &resize_type=`resize`
both will work the same.

Awesome, I will change the template, after check the relation again.
How about more than 1 level folder? I guess it will fail.

i don’t have that option in my module? is it a new one? but there’s no setting to keep the aspect ratio, right? ( still easy2gallery136 )

oh, you’re right ... any ideas what i could do to fix this? ( although i probably won’t nest galleries more than one level right now ... )

is there a setting to display pagination for folders, or is this only available in the beta4 release?

the pagination produces links like: "gallery.html&gid=4&gpn=1" the unescaped & result validator warnings ( although i use a plugin to transform &s to entities OnWebPagePrerender they aren’t escaped, they aren’t escaped ) ... also the thumbnail image urls produce warnings: "A URI contains impermissible characters or quotes around the URI are not closed." because of empty spaces in the url ... is there a workaround to transform empty spaces?

and how could i handle possible foreign characters? right now it breaks if i upload an folder with an umlaut / how’s this working with russian characters?

the validation errors result from the urls produced in the thumbnail.htm, directory.htm templates ... in the source code
my db is set to UTF8/UTF8_general_ci btw

folders/zips uploaded with characteres like üäö etc. will produce errors, images won’t be displayed ( e.g. Österreich.jpg )

// clients just should’nt use images with foreign characters anyways, but maybe handling for folder names would be nice
