    Hi,

    A customer ask me for a website with a specific fonctionnality :
    - he want to permit to his commercial partners to edit their own page (and only their page), with an access code for each one.
    - when a partner make a change on this own page, the modification have to be validated by the director of publication
    - the director of publication should receive a notification when a modification of one of this partner’s page has to be validated

    Is MODx can to this, even with add-on ?

      You could create separate user groups and link them to separate resource groups to only allow them to modify their own page(s). It may be easier to set up a front-end system for that though, as then you wont have to deal with ACLs and just make your custom FormIt hook get & save data to the right resource (hint: link it to a user ID).

      - when a partner make a change on this own page, the modification have to be validated by the director of publication
      This type of workflow solution is not yet available.. when you use the modx back-end you can refuse them publish permission, so they can’t actually publish anything.

      - the director of publication should receive a notification when a modification of one of this partner’s page has to be validated
      A simple plugin could do that - see my post here: http://modxcms.com/forums/index.php/topic,64029.0.html

        Unfortunatly, this point is very important for my customer...
        So I think I have to look for another framework solution for this project :’(

          I had a chat with a client of mine about that too - and when I explained it wasn’t there yet she realized she wouldn’t use it anyway. wink I authored a plugin (VersionX, see my sig) which can be used to keep track of revisions so you can check what has been changed over time. It’s not finished, and not entirely stable yet, but as paying clients take my time - I don’t have time to work on this "charity" unfortunately.

          Tom;

          You’d need to make a custom formit hook: http://rtfm.modx.com/display/ADDON/FormIt.Hooks There’s examples on the forum on how to save it to a new resource, and probably also on how to update existing ones with that.

          Basicly you’d create a html form with the fields you want added to the database, and let your formit hook process that and add it to the database.

            @Mark H.
            Hummm VersionX is interresting.
            That could be a nice alternative for my problem.
            If the partner made some bullshit on his page, my customer can always come back to the previous version.

            I’m sending you a PM smiley
