Support/Comments for FancyUpload

Hi,

I have managed to get fancy upload to work (after I realised it depended on se friendly urls status to how you do it) but want to now modify it so I can change the directory the file is uploaded to.

I have used the snippet call on a page

[!FancyUpload? &FancyTpl=`FancyUploadChunk` &extensions=`jpg,png,gif,pdf,txt,doc,xls,ppt,zip,rar,rtf,txt,c,cpp,odt` &maxsize=`52428800` &uploadpath=`assets/files/claim_docs/$claim_id/`!]


And am trying to dynamically set the $clam_id value in it to the one that is passed in the page url - is what I am doing possible or should I be trying to pass the value to the fancyupload snippet through the form?

[*claim_id*] correctly displays the claim id number but won’t put it in the uploadpath correctly, i am not sure if i am doing it right but surely something like this should work?

I’m running Modx 0.9.6.3 and using fancy upload with FF3 and it seems to have stop working

HAs anyone come across this and found an answer?

The reason this snippet has stopped working is because adobe changed how flash interacts with the upload ability, the makers of fancyupload have resolved this issue with a version 2 of the fancy upload application that works with flash 10, yet there has not been an update for this snippet to reflect the new version of fancyupload, probably because its a complete rewrite to make it work.

Is this thread still alive or is there a substitute?
I cant get it to work out of the box. No progress bar, upload works fine but no confirmation nor error msg on wrong file type.

Not working for me, but this is the first snippet I have attempted to add (chunks yes). I do not yet understand what a snippet call is nor can I find any clear explanation. The only way I have gotten the FancyUpload to appear on my page is by adding {{FancyTpl}} to my page (the chunk yes?) But I can tell you it’s not yet working. It hangs for a bit and then goes to a default ’page not found’ page.

So this generates the FancyUpload image (no idea where to put the [!FancyUpload!] ’snippet call’, putting it in the page post results in nothing)

Please advise this will help me not only with FancyUpload but also with Snippets and modx in general. Thanks

Can anyone say if this works with Evo 1.0.3/1.0.4?

I guess I will just install it anyway.
