I think the call should be uncached:

[!SMFssi? &ssi=`ssi_recentTopics`!]

I don’t know if this will make a difference because of your extra parameters.

Hi,

SMFssi does not play well with SMF_UserComments. If I use both snippet calls on the same page, SMF_UserComments does not recognise that the member is logged into the SMF forum and will not display the comment forum. This appears to happen no matter which ssi function is called with SMFssi. SMF_UserComments snippet appears to function as intended when there are no SMFssi calls on the same page.

Your help would be greatly appraciated.
