@rossco: Your problem is perhaps down to the fact you’re missing the </head> tag in the code you posted - that’d be why the actual GoogleMaps JS code is not being included as it should (which would result in the JS error)

Does seem to be related to the apostrophe in Fisherman’s. I had thought the phx:slashandstrip would take of this. Is that right?

Hmmm how embarrassing! Yeah I missed the tag out lol but Firebug still gives an error.

@Terry - just an idea - maybe slash and strip is working but that is exactly why you’re getting the error? i.e. apostrophe in title but then stripped out means a mismatch?

I had the same problem some time ago but never resolved it - so don’t take too much notice of my theory!

Oh boy. . . I wouldn’t begin to know how to approach that.

As a test using alias instead of title. This worked for all the documents except this one--although they were all displayed as lower case with dashes between the words. Still, this document created an error unless I removed the dash, then it was fine. Again, not really a good solution.

If all else fails, I may have to create a special field just for the map, but this will create duplicate entry for the editors of the site.

I just tried this on another one my sites and it’s worked... I retried it on another site and it doesn’t work, so I disabled a custom plugin to replace bbCode with html code and this is what is stopping it working! I didn’t think that would of been the issue but it is.

My plugin was changing the [i] in the script with <em> that’s what was causing the error!

’[i]’ => ’<em>’,

Least I have it working now... i’ll edit the script to stop this error now. grin

@Doze,

Is there any plan to integrate the marker manager provided within the GMaps Utility Library ?
I am interested by the zoom approach which allows markers visible only at certain zoom levels.

The MarkerManager object within the markermanager.js library offloads management of markers registered with the utility, keeping track of which markers are visible at certain zoom levels within the current view, and passing only these markers to the map for drawing purposes. The manager monitors the map’s current viewport and zoom level, dynamically adding or removing markers from the map as they become active. In addition, by allowing markers to specify the zoom levels at which they display themselves, developers can implement marker clustering. Such management can greatly speed up map rendering and reduce visual clutter.

I have added the reading of KML or GeoRSS file as an option: &geoXml=`yourFile`
This allows for example to insert a route on your map.

Hereafter are the differences with the release 1.0c for ditto v2+

HI all

I have a map setup with the list of markers on the right side of the map. Works great in FF but IE pushes the map down below the last item on the list. I’ve tried numerous adjustments to column width, padding, etc. to no avail.

Could someone take a look at this? Perhaps I’ve been looking at this too long. I’m assuming this is a CSS issue?

Just replaced the code from the download of 1.0c with that referred to in the following post http://modxcms.com/forums/index.php?topic=5798.135

I am so happy with it now, the popup bubble is now displaying text that it wasn’t before.

I was only looking for the ability to change the icons but now with this code everything I was going to try and fix now works.

Maybe a good idea to change the download available from http://modxcms.com/extras.html?view=package/view&package=183

Anyway, first post here, been using Modx for a few weeks and love it. Hopefully I’ll post up more in the near future.
