OK, sorry for that faulty code I gave, but the same result occur if I use addresses http://modxcms.com/forums/index.php?sa=recent;type=rss2;action=.xml&limit=6
or
http://www.ap3.ee/RSS.aspx?type=3 in the same code.

Did you read the thread re: URLs with query string parameters? There are replacement characters you must use when using URLs with any ? & or = signs in them.

Yes, I did. And used. I have tried for now next options:
1. call in the content field:



2. call in snippet [[ParseNews]]

and


+ the same without query string parameters as I thought that in the snippet call I don’t have to use them. Anyway, the result is the same.

How can I remove the first URL in the RSS feed? A.k.a. the channel URL.

i was able to comment out a line which removed the name of the feed, but the url remains.

First, thanks for a great snippet - after poking around I’ve pretty much got it displaying exactly as I want using the css classes, and adding some tweaks to the HTML output so that it gives me an unordered list.

My problem is with the data returned by the rss feed. I seem to have a gap in between the feed items; having looked at the code, the feed is returning some extra empy image links and an old-style br tag, which mucks up the whole thing. Since the extra code is within the feed text, the only way I can think of around it is if I could specify a cutoff for the description display after a set number of characters. Is there any way this could be done easily?

The feed code I am using is: [!NewsParserX? &url=`http://feeds.feedburner.com/Pinknews|xq|format|xe|xml` &limit=`2` &descr=`1`!]

I did this by adding a class to my stylesheet as follows:


The class is already applied by the script, so you can add this to any stylesheet you have referenced in your document.

I transitioned a blogger.com blog from ftp hosting to Google hosting, and now the RSS feed won’t show up on my web site. The feed is http://blog.founders.org/rss.xml, and I just get a blank return.

Any ideas? Failing that, any help on tracking down the error?

That’s just the content of the feed; it seems to add the ads automatically.
