just fine as long as IE8 is NOT in compatibility mode.

I am using Firefox and I haven’t got an IE8 installed on my machine - I cannot test your solution. I am wondering that I might try Chrome and I will keep you posted if it can solve any issues. I am not sure if i have tried this batch editing in IE6 that is on my system, but I think I didnt..

Both Chrome and IE6 dont work.. IE6 returnes a blank white page.. Chrome gives me the same succesful message as FF3:
Update was completed successfully, with no errors.
Use the Back button if you need make more changes. The Site Cache has automatically been cleared.

But nothing gets changed... it doesn’t work for single document as well as n**

The problem is that there is a bug in the Doc Manager Code. The fix hasn’t been added to any ModX release, so in order to fix it, you have to update the Doc Manager module manually.

Note: This code is NOT part of the official release yet.

THE PREFERRED METHOD OF UPDATING THIS FILE IS USING THE PATCH
If you have updated your installation from the original release, or plan to, I suggest using the patch as to avoid any code conflicts.
        Get the patch at http://svn.modxcms.com/jira/browse/ADDON-61.

If you don’t know how to patch a file, you can make the change the following way:

        1) Download dm_backend.class.php via http://svn.modxcms.com/jira/secure/attachment/10478/dm_backend.class.php
        2) Rename your old copy of assets/modules/docmanager/classes/dm_backend.class.php to dm_backend.class.php.bak
        3) Upload the file from step 1 to assets/modules/docmanager/classes/

I will not be held responsible for any changes you make to your system. However, if you do everything correctly, you should be fine.

This update will solve the problem of template variables not being updated, even when a Success message is printed. The issues with specifying ranges is another bug that has been filed in JIRA (http://svn.modxcms.com/jira/browse/ADDON-32).

Thanks a lot (!) for your helpful post. Once I’ll need to do some batch editing I will try to patch the DocManager.

I’ve downloaded and overwritten the file and it’s made no difference - doc manager isn’t batch updating any TVs for me. Seeing the above seems to be working, could there be some sort of permissions issue on the server?

                Hello,

Experiencing the same issue, client is being gracious about manually going through edits but I’m hoping this is resolved sooner than later.

The TVs in this case are image TVs. I’m using the latest Evo with Doc Manager version 1.1. Have tried it both out of the box and with the patched dm_backend.class.php mkornatz suggested as a possible solution, both give the success message but don’t actually change the TV values.

If there’s any testing or further info I can provide, please let me know. Hopefully we can get this figured out!

Maybe the new betas of MODx 2.0 Rev will not have this issue? Any one has tried yet?
