    I am looking to add a new tab into the admin interface, with a few key links for my clients to places such as main manager.
    I built my own servers instead of using Cpanel/Plesk with the intention of adding into the CMS the ability to click through to mail admin, server Stats, PhpmyAdmin, etc interfaces. How could I do this? I was thinking ManagerManager would work (one of the things which attracted me to MODx, but every time I download it, I get a file which is 0 bytes big.

    IF I can just hand php code it that would be ok too.

        I think it just wasn’t downloading before they upgraded the site. Because today it seems to download fine. Now I am off to play with manager manager.
        Thank you very much for the reply.

            Hum... Not quite what I need, but it will be handy to hide tabs and stuff from end users.
            But what I really want to be able to do is add a tab to the top manager menu -
            Next to "Reports" called "Admin" on the same bar as Site, Resources, Modules, Security, Tools, Reports...

            Any help on where to modify that tab and put a HTML document in below it.
            Thanks!

                  The easiest is probably to add modules (without hacking the core).

                  Otherwise you would have to edit modx-0.9.6.3/manager/frames/menu.php
                  after line 223:

                  <form name="menuForm" action="l4mnu.php" class="clear">
                  <div id="Navcontainer">
                  <div id="divNav">
                  	<ul id="nav">

                    I’ve also preferred to add an item to the main manager "Welcome" page when using a module to add a feature for a client. This involves editing manager/actions/welcome.static.php (in the section marked //setup icons) and the manager/media/style/<your-style>/welcome.html file (line 16 and line 64).

                      Here is what I ended up doing.
                      Because I wanted to be able to just upload an admin template. I just modified the welcome.html template. Now I can just delete out the other templates, and upload the modified one. I have a couple other links to add in, but it gives the clients the ability to have only 1 main form to log into to get to where they need.
                      (I also want to do a few CSS changes such as making the color scheme go from Green to Orange, add a logo. But all of that will be easily done)
