I’m not sure what all the parameters=`int` is about!
Here’s a copy of my call working on a site:
    [[CALx? &getFolder=`2` &popupType=`2` &getTypeProcess=`createCal` &idMultiEvent=`4`]]

It might help get you started.

      Thanks Bunk -

I posted your call to my site. It does not work. This line below is what displays when I view the page with your call on it:

      --------------
      "The parameter &idMultiEvent is obligatory."
      ---------------

Here is the thing: I do not have a folder established to hold the calendar items yet. This is because I do not have a calendar with which to set calendar items up with yet. Do I need to create a folder beforehand? The documentation is terribly vague and ambiguous for this snippet. The high-level picture still eludes me.

Any additional advice would be greatly appreciated. I would really like to get this snippet running.

      Thanks again.

Can’t see how it would work without the folder containing the events! wink
Create your folder, create a couple of event docs inside it ( I just used the publish & unpublish TV’s for the dates )
See if any thing’s showing up.

I think, with Bunk’s help, you are nearly there.

The idMultiEvent is a document you have to specify, which will be used if a date has more than one event (clicking the date will take you to that page I believe).

          Also the:

          [[CALx? &getFolder=`id` &idDocYear=`ìnt` &idDocMonthEvents=`int` &dayStart=`int` &inactDay=`int` ⟨=`string` &useTV=`bool` &dateStartTVName=`startDateOfEvent` &dateEndTVName=`endDateOfEvent` &popupType=`int` &popupSize=`int` &toolTipPosition=`string` &showOtherMonth=`string` &chunkCSSName=`calxcss` &getTypeProcess=`string`]]

          int is short for integer.

I have created a TV for start and end dates so my call is probably slightly different but it looks like this:

          [!CALx?&getFolder=`4` &dayStart=`6` &inactDay=`6` &idMultiEvent=`4` &lang=`english` &useTV=`true` &dateStartTVName=`startDate` &dateEndTVName=`endDate` &popupType=`1` &popupSize=`250` &showOtherMonth=`both` &chunkCSSName=`calendarStyle` &getTypeProcess=`createCal`!]

Change getFolder=`4` to the document id that contains your events.

Change idMultiEvent=`4` to the document id that you want to link to if more than one event is available for a page.

Note that I used the same document for both.

          Keep at it. wink

Thanks again guys. Unfortunately, still no go. (Boy this is getting frustrating.)

This is what I have done:

            1. I created an events folder to contain events. The folder is ’published’ but not in the main navigational menu. (If this step is critical to getting the snippet to run, i would think the CALx documentation should be updated to include it.)

            2. I created an event document and placed it in the events folder. I did not know what to really put in the event document so I just placed some random text in there as well as the calls to the ’dateStart’ and ’dateEnd’ TVs. ( I initially thought that the event documents were published by using the Calendar functionality, and not beforehand. This is why I didn’t bother to initially create an Event folder. I thought this is all done through the Calendar snippet once it is up and running.)

            3. Since I included the TV calls in the event document I created, the option to set publish and unpublish dates is available on the bottom of the Event page when viewing it as an administrator. So, I set a random publish and unpublish date. (I set today as the publish date and July 5th as the unpublish date).

            4. I created a Multi Event document and placed it in the Events folder. I was not sure what to put in the Multi Event document, so I just placed some random text in there as well.

            5. I updated the CALx snippet call so that the ’getFolder’ and MultiEvent’ parameters are set to the document IDs I have now created.

            6. I saved my changes.

            7. I viewed the Calendar page, and all it says, again, is ... "The parameter &idMultiEvent is obligatory." The call I used is below:

            -----------------
            [[CALx? &getFolder=`11` &popupType=`2` &getTypeProcess=`createCal` &idMultiEvent=`13`]]
            -----------------

I am just at a total loss.

If you know how to get this snippet running, I am sure the configuration process is easy. If you are not familiar with it however (and are still somewhat new to CMS protocol overall) it is simply not clear. I hate to keep bothering people in the forums, but the documentation is just so malnourished that I am left with little choice if I want to keep using MODx (and I do.)

              I have no idea.

If you fancy, you could set me up with manager access and I would be happy to take a look, providing of course it is online somewhere.

That would have to be in the next couple of hours though...I am going to be working away from home for a while, and will only be able to access the Internet on the weekend probably (Other than working hours).

Still no go with CAlx. Taff took a look and could not sort it out either. Guess I will need to explore other calendar solutions.
