I have a one odd problem: line breaks are not displaying right in comments. Line breaks are included as text,
, in comments not as xhtml tags.

I’d really like to have a module to accompany this snippet, which allowed you to view, edit, delete, etc., your comments, and would give you flexible options like viewing by most recent, by document, etc. wink

I do, but I had to change the setting in my php.ini file, which was no easy chore because I’m on a shared host. Luckily, my host (http://www.dreamhost.com/r.cgi?104314"" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">Dreamhost) allows some degree of php.ini settings overwriting within your own account, as well as the ability to compile, or copy into your account, your own version of php. Once I figured out how to do the latter, I was set.

i’m very busy with replix right now, taking all of the replies in this topic with me.
            Stuff that’s coming:

            - several bugfixes and routine rewrites.
            - DB support (you can choose xml or db)
            - if you choose XML, it will autodetect your PHP version and use the native xml support instead of the 3rd party class in available.
            - autosubscribe mode
            - full moderation (view, edit, delete)
            - module support (installer, moderation)
            - 2 templating modes (default MODx, and optional TinyButStrong)

I need some time to make this happen and it’s a very busy week, but I
’ll keep this topic up to date smiley

I know this might be getting a bit demanding, but it sure would be nice to have a small script that would convert the current XML comments into the DB comments should I choose to go DB. If not, I’m sure I can manage it manually.

I like the direction you’re going. Very encouraging. Thanks for your work.

I’m trying to use the ’comments.count’ mode, and it doesn’t seem to be working. I’ve traced the problem as far back as I’m able to go, which is into the XPath::match() method. The document id is fed properly into the Replix class (I tested it), and then it’s passed to the $folder variable, which is then used to import the XML document. I think the problem may be that I don’t use the actual document that is commented on as the folder; I use a separate folder.

What version of PHP do you use? I had exactly this problem after switch to PHP 5.1.x. Note that the XPath library i quite old (2004 afaik)

Yeah, I’m using 5.1.2, so maybe that’s it. bS?
