It will probably be finished with the next release of ModX.
Same set of features, changes include:

    - TBS support probably dropped (or optional) because of some new features in modx
    - DB support (default)
    - XML support (optional, as current) delivered by native php xml library or MiniXML library
    - full moderation (including check before published)
    - implementations: comments, private messaging, forum
    - post delay

new version setup will be slightly different so I will also cretae a tool to convert your old comment data to the new version.
I’m very busy though and next week i go on holiday, but i will make sure the waiting is worth it wink

That sounds really promising. It looks that I can finally drop my custom Guestbook implementation laugh (didn’t use Replix before because of the limited moderation possibilities.)

Thanks for the reply. I can hardly wait to store my comments to DB and not XML, the moderation feature is also a great addition. laugh

          Hi,
I want to have drop down list as optional field, will it be possible? Basically I am trying to use replix for a debate board so I need some modifications for my purpose. Can you tell me how do I do it?

          Thanks

well.. currently how things work is. You specify which formfield is a custom field to Replix/Jot, when posting it will just take the value and store/display it. YOU are responsable for how the form template looks and how your comment template is displaying it. You can also make use of other snippets to do this for you. The only thing I consider putting into Replix/Jot is some sort of server side validation for the custom fields. But one thing Replix/Jot is not is a Form Generator.

              Hi,

I’m using Replix for comments and it’s great (congratulations Bs, and thanks!!). But I have one thing that I don’t know how to do it. I have a home page in which I show the three most recent posts, with Ditto snippet. I want add the comments count in each post that I show. How can I do it? For showing the posts I use a chunk.

              Thanks

I believe you need to put this to your Ditto template:

                [!Replix? &mode=`comments.count` &docid=`[+id+]`!]

"He can have a lollipop any time he wants to. That's what it means to be a programmer."

I have to put [[Replix? &mode=`comments.count` &docid=`[+id+]`]]. But it doesn’t return the true comments count. It allways sets to 0, where I have more than 0.

If I try with [+ReplixCount+], the comments duplicate themself and Ditto shows me all like they were posts and it’s totally out of control, duplicating comments document for a same post over and over. I have to delete them logging into the database server and remove from the content table. And I have the ID count in more than 100... it’s disastrous!!

It’s really difficult to configure a ModX installation for working as a blog. I’m about to give up :’(

Did you try it uncached like I said..?

                      Sorry... what is uncached meaning?

I have all my documents with the cached box unchecked. I know is related with [[ or [! snippet call, but I don’t understand nothing about. What is the difference between both and what is used for? Or if there are any other topic where it’s explained....
