Here is the snippet call I am using:

    [!UserComments? &makefolder=`1` &sortorder=`0` &notify=`[email protected]` &displaytpl=`CommentDisplay` &formtpl=`CommentForm` &postcss=`uc_post` &titlecss=`uc_title` &codecss=`uc_code` &numbercss=`uc_number` &authorcss=`uc_author` &ownercss=`uc_owner` &altrowcss=`uc_altrow` &dateformat=`%b %d, %Y  %I:%M%p` !]

      What ID and Alias is the UserComments snippet being called on?

        For the example I used above it is pageid: 38 and alias:new-website-design

        This is the folder that the comments document is in.

        I am actually using a radio-option tv to insert the snippet call into the page, here is what the tv input values I am using look like:

        none== ||Use Comments==

User Comments
[!UserComments? &makefolder=`1` &sortorder=`0` &notify=`[email protected]` &displaytpl=`CommentDisplay` &formtpl=`CommentForm` &postcss=`uc_post` &titlecss=`uc_title` &codecss=`uc_code` &numbercss=`uc_number` &authorcss=`uc_author` &ownercss=`uc_owner` &altrowcss=`uc_altrow` &dateformat=`%b %d, %Y  %I:%M%p` !]

        So then on each page I want comments all I have to do is select the tv option Use Comments.

        So maybe the problem is due to calling it this way???

        Thanks for the help

          Can you try calling it without the tv just to be sure?

              Ah, I think I know what is happening. Do you have Friendly Alias path on or are you in a subdirectory?

                Yes I do have the friendly alias paths on. And my directory tree looks like this:

                Root ->
                Notebook (folder) ->
                New Website Design (folder) ->
                New Website Design - User comments (document)

                Let me know if you need any other info.

                  I didn’t test with FAP on... that is the problem! I’ll look into this as soon as my reformat finishes

                      Nice you’ve added email notification so I will now know when I’m being spammed. smiley

                      Has anyone succeeded in adding Captcha functionality to this UserComments thing? Referrer Spam sucks bigtime and I’d like to avoid it. So would my clients when we launch them and I blog them for a leg up in the SEs (which usually guarantees they get added to referrer spammer lists. Oh joy.)

                      If so, could you please tell me how to add it in words of one syllable for the php challenged? If not, then Scotty or whoever, could you maybe take a look and see about adding it?
