Thanks for the update, I will get that fix put in the code.
Let me know if you find anything else.

Here is the final version for a while. It only contains eastbinds previous fix. If there are any additional features or problems go ahead and post them here and I will get to them when I have time.

Any future possibility to search through keywords, categories or authors designated in one or more TVs? I would love to see this incorporated in a search snippet.
I would also like to have the output of the search in a chunk template, it might be called with something like &tpl=`chunkname` and &jstpl=`chunkname` much like how Newslisting handles templates, with placeholders and the like.
Nice snippet!
cheers

Mark,
Searching through tvs is definatly something that is on the table and will be addressed when time allows.
I also like the idea of outputting to a template with placeholders.
Thanks for the suggestions, I will try to get back to this snippet after I finish some other things I am working on.

It seems the code written by xyzvisual has gone unoticed (but it’s buried deep in the forum) so I’ll bring it up again (how nice is human search engine

? ) : Before re-inventing the wheel, maybe look at
FlexSearchFormTVars I don’t know if it’s of any help, since I have never been able to make it work nor really grasp what it’s about...

David,
Thanks for the pointer. From what I can tell that code adds a dropdown to the form that lets a user to select a section of the site to search. That must be some old code too, there are references to the etomite oblject instead of the modx object in there also.
What really needs added with tvs though is the ability to search through the tvs associated with a document that contain data. So when you search for something if the content is stored in a tv that matches the search the correct page will be returned.
Kyle
Okay, thanks for the explanation
Searching TVs would be great indeed, I guess I am not the only one using them to store custom content like product catalog, directory or whatever...

This is VERY, VERY needed feature. Placeholders and use of chunks allow for a much greater flexibility and give a total control over the code. This is what original FlexSearchForm lacks the most, IMO.
Anyway, this is a great plugin. I plan to use it on my site.

Hi everybody,
got the search working (FlexSearch), but not with the nifty ajaxsearh and the fancy transitions.
There is no loading.gif, no close.png etc. All the files in assets/snippets/AjaxSearch will not be loaded.
I guess the AjaxSearch-snippet will not work in the right way and so there is no including of these files.
I running a modX (0.91) installation on a local Server (XAMPP - WIN XP, MYSQL; APACHE). Let the ht.access unmodified.
Every document is cachable by default. So whats the problem?
Of course, jacascript is activated. got a nice moo.fx-menu running.
Thanks in advance. le block
