    This is really getting frustrating!

    When I go to the URL via mydomain.com/id it throws this error:

    « MODx Parse Error »
    MODx encountered the following error while attempting to parse the requested resource:
    « PHP Parse Error »

      PHP: 	0.0261 s s

    and when I go to it via FURL it gives me this error:

      This really frsutrate me as well.

      Anybody ever try this snippet yet? Wanna give some feedback about it? Does that mean that it only work on my system?
      The only key that I could find right now is the CalDisplay variable. Hope I can figure out the problem.

        I’ve just installed it on my local machine and I’m getting the following error when viewing the calendar in the frontend huh:

        Warning: Call-time pass-by-reference has been deprecated - argument passed by value; If you would like to pass it by reference, modify the declaration of [runtime function name](). If you would like to enable call-time pass-by-reference, you can set allow_call_time_pass_reference to true in your INI file. However, future versions may not support this any longer. in W:\www\modx\assets\snippets\calendar\calendar.class.php on line 639

        I can move from month to month in the calendar but not add any events to the calendar - it just doesn’t respond when I click the ’+’ icons.

        The error message means nothing to me at the moment, but may be of some help ...

        Cheers, Garry

          Hemm...
          I think my current knowledge of PHP is really limited to developing it for personal use.
          I’ll try to work on this. I’ll give an update tomorow.

            Garry, would you mind helping me a little bit here? So far the pass-by-reference error is because I use the old syntax. All I need to do is to move the pass-by-reference declaration on function declaration. So it won’t do any harm to the system. I just fix it for the next release.

            As far as you can’t run the admin, have you login yet as a power manager with id 1 or assign add the corresponding manager group to that document group? After you’re login, you’re suppose to be able to click on the plus button. It’s being disabled, because you don’t have enough access to it.

            Thanks

              Mark, I’ll look into your problem shortly. It’s little bit tricky, because I don’t know for sure why it gives you an error.

                Ok Mark, I did a quick investigation to the cause of the problem, and trying to make a quick fix. I just realize on the snippet code, after checking the caldsiplay var, I need to use && instead of ||, so the if condition will be terminated, as soon as the var is not set.

                Hope it does fix the problem. I uploaded the revision for using the old pass-by-reference syntax, as well as fixing the caldisplay thing.

                Your best bet will be to download the file, and replace the calendar.db.class.php and your snippet code inside the resources folder.

                Please let me know if there is a problem to it. I’m hoping this snippet to be stabled ASAP >:( (Need to work on my PHP skill undecided)

                I changed the code again on calendar.class.php, I use $this, instead of $modx for getchunk.

                  Heh, this is like an error derby!

                    Ok, your system doesn’t like the use var without making sure it’s being set yet.
                    Try this one again

                    Lets start a game, "capture the bugs"?

                    Anyway, let see what kind of error it will gshow up. Just copy past the code to your snippet. Thanks

                      FYI, your system too can report all of these PHP parser warnings by going to your /index.php file and editing the line:
                      $modx->stopOnNotice = false;

                      to be:
                      $modx->stopOnNotice = true;

                      Otherwise, with stopOnNotice = false, MODx tells the PHP parser to ignore these less than fatal warnings in favor of making the page render regardless. And though this may not affect the final output in most cases, each warning that is encountered by the PHP parser (and ignored) is a performance hit against your script.
