Ok, removed the engine bit and all is well with that. I completed the install per your instructions and now have another problem. When on the page that I put the [!DBCalendar!] snippet call on (the page is uncached as well) I get this:

    « MODx Parse Error »
MODx encountered the following error while attempting to parse the requested resource:
    « PHP Parse Error »

    PHP error debug
      Error: Undefined variable: CalDisplay
      Error type/ Nr.: Notice - 8
      File: 	/home/virtual/site420/fst/var/www/html/manager/includes/document.parser.class.inc.php(691) : eval()'d code
      Line: 62

    Parser timing
      MySQL: 0.0111 s s	(13 Requests)
      PHP: 0.0484 s s
      Total: 0.0596 s s

I AM running in PHP safe-mode if that makes a difference.

      A little off-topic, but I found this today: http://phpicalendar.net/phpicalendar/

It uses the ical format, supports recurring events and looks pretty dang good (I’m not knocking the current DBCalendar Module here). The only real problem I see is that it uses tables for layout. Perhaps, at least, a source of inspiration?

Thanks phil, we already look into it, and I believe that’s the reason why Jason want me to support iCal as well. lol

Wait for this application to works. Currently I’m working on newsletter right now, extending someone else snipets and modules. I’ll be back on the calendar when I have time.

Mark: I’ll look into your problem shortly.

Ok, I just updated the attached file with a new version, which migrate all the modules and plugins into a single snippets installation. The class and everything is still the same with the old DBCalendar.

Notice that I changed the name from DBCalendar to Calendar, to show modularity in not only supporting Database, but it will soon support more data source.

Note: I didn’t update the showcase page on my server.

              Hemm..
I must inser the wrong code and etc on the zip file.

Let me investigate this further. I will repackage the thing from my testing site, so everything will be the recent working version.

For all programmer out there, is there any better way to keep code revision organized, and easily packaged during production?

ANy advice or article will be awesome. Thanks

                  Hemm...
Is there any different between safe mode and normal mode?
I have no experience in safe mode server before.

                  Thanks

                      Thanks mark.

Anybody willing to help me working on the database backend for this snippet? The integration to the front end will be very2 easy. I think mark willing to help with the front end part. So if we have someone to work on the database backend, it will help the development pace to bring this baby out from beta release to full release. So far it has been designed to allow several people working on different thing, but still able to link all the part together based on the core class. So when you help the development, basically you’re not going to understand the whole snippet and class work.

If you’re willing to help, please private message me or reply to this post.

                      Thanks
