My installation was working last night, but now, when I try to add an image to an existing gallery, the page never refreshes back to the module admin screen after clicking ’Insert New Picture’. Instead, it is blank (white) and the image is not inserted into the database.

I have made no changes to the software since I installed, added an image and woke up this morning.

Actually, it seems to be working intermittently. I messed around with roles management thinking that was the issue. If i leave it alone long enough then come back to it, it will add one picture, then go back to not adding anything and giving me the blank page. Also, it will add the picture, but there’s no thumbnail. The same problem as described prior.

I had already applied the GD2 fix.

      What could be the problem?

      Thanks.

I put my problem in the original easy peasy thread and I’ve gotten no response, so I’m trying a new topic. Please, i really need some help.

It’s running on a Linux box, MySQL 4.0.24. PHP 4.4.

Last night the software was running fine. This morning, nothing. I have made no changes to the module. It will add a gallery but it will not add an image anymore. This is after I did extensive testing.

I have been in touch with the admin, or as close as I’m allowed. I do not have access to the server logs or the mysql error log.

When I try to add an image, the item is submitted, but the gallery admin page is never refreshed. Instead, a blank white page appears, no error is displayed (not even the 0 in the upper left hand corner). One of of every 20 succeeds in the page reappearing, but the thumbnail is blank and their is nothing uploaded to the database.

Could someone please help? Please. The admin is trying to say that it’s the software, even though they got the problem to reproduce itself.

        Please help.

        Please.

        Thanks.

This sounds like it could be a database load issue, based on the fact it worked at night (theoretically lower load levels) vs. not so well during the day (when they might be higher).

            Hello Everyone,

Here’s the modxified verion of Easy Peasy Gallery 2 by Nick_NP from Etomite.
I’ve managed to update this module to support the lastest fixes etc.

            Quick Installation and Setup quide:
            -------------------------------------

            1) Download and extract the photogallery.zip file.
            2) FTP or copy the files into the root of your website

            3) Run the install/index.php file to install the module
            4) Follow the on screen instructions.

After install run the PhotoGallery Admin panel and click on the Install/Clear Galleries button.

            Usage:
Calls to the gallery snippet are made using the gallery’s ID (as displayed on the admin panel).

            example:

Where 4 is the id of your photo gallery.

For more information please see the help section accessible via the admin panel.

            How to uninstall the module
            ---------------------------------------

            1) Run the Admin Panel
            2) Click the "Uninstall galleries" button to remove agllery tables
            3) Delete the module, snippet and files (assets/modules/epg2) associated with the photo gallery

            Hi,
I did everything according to the instructions you gave with this post and everything worked fine until I logged in the manager mode and tried to run the module..... I got a System alert message saying "Photo Gallery - Module runtime error: An error occurred while loading the module. Please see the event log."
And the main frame shows one letter "0".

can somebody please help me on this one.

            Thnx,

Hi whitehat - sorry I didn’t pick up your PM on this from yesterday, managed to get sidetracked on something else.

Try out the advice in the two posts that Zi listed here: http://modxcms.com/forums/index.php/topic,1895.msg14272.html#msg14272

It’s most likely an issue around the GD2 library extensions, hopefully the posts will help.

              Cheers, Garry

I am running a LAMP install of FC4, and I’ve installed GD-2.x and I’m still getting:

Unable to load dynamic library ’/usr/lib/php/modules/gd2.so’ - /usr/lib/php/modules/gd2.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

in my phpinfo -> view there is still ’--without-gd’, and i’ve checked, the file gd2.so is in fact missing. I am in fact n00b-ish to this process, could I please ask for some idiot-proof instructions to get gd2.so to the right place and running as it is supposed to for the photo galery.

Oh, and I’ve tried the commenting out the lines thing, the changing the lines thing and every other piece of advice from here that I could understand.

                Thanx
