Quote from: fixedmachine at Jun 17, 2010, 12:07 PMIn 1.0.3 I’ve found that there is a problem with jQuery from ManagerManager. I’m talking about the sample FAQs custom TV. The colorbox declaration is injected by your custom code into the header. But ManagerManager inserts jQuery declaration inside body. So we got an error about undeclared jQuery, and we see popup.php content not in the colorbox, but inside the frame. That’s a small problem in your sample code, but it can be confusing.
Did you apply the patch to ManagerManager? It needs to have the patch to use the register API for adding Javascript in order to cooperate with the modification.
I saw that you’re using upload form (uploadify?) inside a custom TV. What do you think, is that possible to make an uploadify TV for uploading many different documents (doc,pdf,...) for MODx document?
Yes - you could store them all together using a JSON style notification, though without ordering and maybe captions I’m not sure how useful it would be? The code is pure SWFUpload, so I’d suggest working from their demos to put it together, as I don’t think anything in my code would add to the samples.

Just great! But I’ve got one question: could you prepare just a small package only with files which should be replaced? Or just make an list of files which should be copied from your custom MODx distribution to the already installed MODx? That would be convinient for those who want only add Custom TV to already existing MODx installation.
Sure, here we go:

I just now updated my site to 1.0.4 and added this, and noticed that the extras version in the link below doesn’t include the assets/tvs directory.
So I sucked that up from the full installation, and it appears to work (at least I get the FAQ selector TV type available, and it opens a pretty little overlay box when used).
Now just a matter of figuring out what to do with it.

If I understand this correctly, I could put whatever code I wanted into the popup window? For example, I could have uploadify provide upload facilities for a variable number of images, then have my code collect the uploaded images into an array (I’ve done something similar with uploading documents using uploadify, adding form fields for handling instructions to each document uploaded), and display them alongside form fields for title, discription, whatever else I wanted, then save the whole thing to the database when the user finishes?
For example, a t-shirt being listed with sizes and colors altogether in the one TV? Save it as json-encoded, then a custom widget snippet would get the json from the database and build the display. In a Ditto tpl. Using some kind of jQuery simple gallery list to control the display of options for each item. Oh, yeah, I can see where this could go (if I understand this correctly, that is).

As far as I know custom TVs are supported natively in Revo. I’ve got so many Evo projects stacked up at the moment that I haven’t had a chance to investigate - and stable as Revo seems, we’re unlikely to use it for clients until it hits 2.1
