Google Maps - show map on content page

Hello,
I’m currently working on a little map interface that would allow me to show a map in my entries. in order to keep things as unobtrusive as possible I thought of the following procedure - setting up a custom TV field that holds all the geo data to be shown on the map. the interface would then create the code in JSON format an feeds the code back into the custom TV field - here is a little preview of an early alpha: http://net4visions.com/labs/iMap/index.php?cms=mx - please let me know if anybody is interested to test.

That’s impressive. Though I don’t actually see the markers (I’ve created two entries with two default markers: blue and red), but I guess that’s why it’s "alpha"

markers should be added - did you click on add marker on the left? what browser are you using? are you getting any javascript errors?

That’s really impressive indeed. That’d make for a heck of a module for the manager. Keep it up Marco.

(I do see markers, but the custom marker interface isn’t done yet it seems.)

I checked it with the latest Firefox and also IE7 on Win XP. No JS errors.

But looking up img-properties just now, I noticed:

my bad - a little oversight - thanks

I see the icons now in the "parameters" box, but still not on the map. Doing a "view generated source" revealed another occurence of a localhost-img-path...

This thing is nuts! Go mmjaeger!

I too would love to see this puppy as a module! I could also see how the desired JSON output could easily be associated with any MODx doc without requiring any "Copy & Paste", etc.
