[buggy snippet] Front End Document Manager (FDM) v0.1b

    OK

    I had the fileupload call inside the form in the formtpl. Once I moved it outside of the form tags it shows up correctly.

    a small step forward. . . laugh

    I really am a bit over my head here I’m afraid. I now have two submit buttons one for the fileupload and one for FDM. Neither of which will send the file to the assets/files folder. I know this is not right, but not sure how to proceed with this.

      I can’t believe I’m still coming back with yet another question. . . embarrassed

      I’m having trouble getting the email subject and content to work correctly.

      I can’t get the email subject to appear in the notes I receive. If I do not use the &eform_subject paramater I get the default subject. However, If I include the subject parameter in the call, I get 0 in the subject.

      Here’s my FDM call
      [[FDM? &language=`english` &eform_tpl=`fdmEformbackup2` &parent=`90` &model=`92` &redirect=`93` &anonymous=`1` &disableedit=`1` &disabledelete=`1` &disableunpublish=`1`  &eform_noemail=`0` &eform_subject=`WorkOrder` &eform_report=`emailreport` &eform_to=`[email protected]`  ]]


      I also can’t get any placeholder to display data in the content of the email. Any text I place in the emailreport chunk, comes through just fine but the placeholder values do not.

      And the emailreport chunk
      Clien Name: [+clientname+]
Project Type: [+projecttype+]

            i still have problems with fdm. Now i tried out an option list, but with no result.

            My fdm call looks like that:
            [!FDM? &canpost=`webuser` &canedit=`webuser` &disableedit=`0` &disabledelete=`0` &disableunpublish=`0` &disablepublish=`0` &eform_tpl=`tpl_addOffer` &aliastype=`%pagetitle%`!]


            In the fdm form i place:
            [[GetInputByTv? &idname=`accomodations` &docid=`[+id+]`]]


            I tried out both versions of the snippet.
            When i click the edit button, the option list is display. Clicking the save button results in a white, blank page.
            Also my changes are not saved to the db.
            Could this be some kind of a cache problem? When i change something in the chunk for the fdm form, the page displays properly again. But after hitting the button, i get the white page again. I’m not able to display the page properly till ich change something in  the chunk.

            Any ideas to solve that problem.

              well, i read you can use Quill - http://modxcms.com/forums/index.php/topic,28419.0.html for options tv maybe you should try... smiley

                Ok, i tried Quill but still have problems. Have you ever worked with Quill?

                My call looks like:
                [[Quill? &mode=`control` &tv=`accomodations` ]]


                This option list is displayed properly, but the values were not saved with the fdm form.
                Maybe the problem is because all fdm field got the prefix "tv", but i don’t know how to adjust that so the option list is saved, too.

                Any ideas?

                  if they are not saved it’s certainly because there are not properly set. can you post your tv ? smiley

                      Hi,

                      I’m extremely confused! I’ve decided that the best port of call for the site I’m working on is to add FDM so that the site journalists can add, edit and un-publish articles.

                      I’m pretty sure I’ve gone massively wrong somewhere! I can’t find anywhere direct instructions on where to put the code [!FDM!] ? How should it be setup in the system?

                      At the moment I’ve got the default blogging system in place. Do I add a sub article to the current ’Blog’ or is it a completely separate article or container?

                      Ultimately what I require is a way for web users of a group (Journalists) to be able to add, edit and un-publish articles as well as select the category from a dropdown (unsure how to do this). Once posted it needs to display who posted it (by Full Name not Username) as well as be displayed in the relevant category. Is it best to setup different blogs as chunks and have them shown as categories on one page.

                      Apologies if this is in the wrong place. I’ve searched these forums and navigated this article but am unable to find the help I require.
