[buggy snippet] Front End Document Manager (FDM) v0.1b

One ugly way to resolve this is to change the default publish setting for new pages in the modx manager. Not very elegant but could resolve the problem for now.

This is realy not very elegant way. I am decided to use my own "ispublished" TV instead "published" field and use it to emulate published condition. This is more optimal way in my case.

Why all this need. Registered users can create their own photogalleries. Docs for galleries is created with FDM, photos in the each gallery managed with MG. Galleries lists rendered with Ditto.

And I needed a function that users can published their selected albums for public view. So, in the first time I wanted to use "published" field for this, because FDM have buttons to simply (un)publish docs.

I have followed your How to as indicated i’m probably stupid but I don’t know why, when i create a new product, the document that i’ve called ’’Modelproduct’’ would not open as it should. I cannot manage images. Is it possible to dowload an example to learn how to do it or do other tutorials to create a site with products list and news list, something simple to try to learn how Modx works. I’m really desperate but the missing of tutorials or examples make diffuclts the things. I want that every news products list have is own image. How can I upload the images linked to the title? Is it possible to find out somewhere examples for studing even if I had to pay for it,, doesn’t mind?

I cannot manage images.

How are you trying to manage images?

In the Howto the maxigallery snippet is used. I just want to have a form for upload an image, a description and a product name.

I was not familiar with that HowTo, after taking a look at it it seems that you need to use the MaxiGallery interface to manage the images rather than FDM. I have not used MaxiGallery yet but I think it has its own upload/manage features built in. I don’t think that the HowTo intends to have FDM handle the images.

Maybe someone that understands MaxiGallery can help more.

When the snippet is running on the page, you should see "Manage pictures" button on the page what reveals the form to upload pictures, etc..

It took me some effort to figure it out but I believe it is the ’How to catalogue’ tutorial in the wiki:

I guess that tutorial could work if setup correctly.. but that maxigallery call needs &manage_target parameter and you need to create another document that has the same maxigallery call with &is_target parameter. The target document can be hidden, it’s used to do the picture management on a separate page because there are multiple maxigallery calls on the document.

You did notice the &model=`’’’your_product_model_page_id_you_have_created_just_before’’’` part in the guide when you setup it? and the id is correct one (eg. the document has {{product}} in the content field) ?

@beagle,note that there is 2 MaxiGallery call:
one in the list product which just display a thumb of the product (multiple call/page) and don’t manage any image
and the second in the product page (1 call/page) which manages the images of the current product page. There is no interaction between mg and fdm, when you edit your product with fdm you can’t manage image (I have a plugin which do the job ), so you can use mg the normal way.
