[buggy snippet] Front End Document Manager (FDM) v0.1b

beagle , all is in the doc:
1. Upload the assets directory to the root of your site.
2. Create a new snippet in the manager
* Name it FDM
* Copy and paste the content of file [snippet]FDM in the source content the php tags are present in the file so erase it before paste).
* Optionnal: New category: FDM
* Save !
3. You must have a template for eForm wich allow to edit the document fields you want, this is the fdmEform chunk. Create your own or use the provided example.
* Create a new chunk in the manager
* Name it fdmEform (or change the eform_tpl parameter)
* Copy and paste the content of a file [chunk]FDMeFormTpl in the source content (the php tags are present in the file so erase it before paste).
* Optionnal: Select category: FDM
* Save

I am getting desparate :’(

I really need to sort out why FDM is not saving the pub_date and unpub_date using the dhtml calendar from MODx. The site is live but I can’t use FDM (0.1b) becuase the dates keep saving as NULL and returning the unix timestamp zero hour of January 1, 1970. I don’t know if this has to do with the Model Document or the way FDM is retreiving them from the database. They should be returned styled as part of the field but show up as the raw timestamp (if I had gone into the manager to edit them).

I will take any advice from anyone to see where I should look or if I need to take a whack at the api with the FDM files themselves to make the dates populate and save properly.

My thoughts are that you really ought not to be grabbing them from the DB in a loop as part of an array without doing strftime() on them.

Hi, I have a big problem. I don’t know the difference between document and model.... I’ve created a document and called it "ModelProducts" (id 17), and a folder "Products" (14) with the script that is called "<p>Add a product : [!FDM? &model=`17` &parent=`[*id*]` &disableedit=`1`..............................". When I select the botton "Add a product" it doesn’t open the model with the script "{{product}}", but it opens "fdmEformProduct" chunk.
So, my problem is that I can’t update imagin with my products.

@smashingred, I waitting code from helliotrope to edit all kind of field in FDM, but I will have a look, as soon as I can.
@beagle, a model is ... a document, the model is duplicated as the new document to edit when you click add in the FDM. The chunk is stripped when editing and is replaced at save.

Is it possible to set default published value to 0 for canmoderate webgroup?

Im trying to use hidden field in eform_tpl but document is pulished by default.

I need that users can edit, (un)publish their docs, but doc must be unpublished when created.

Hi Perrine, thank you. I forget to say, but only registered users can manage documents in my case.

I think thath i tried to use your snippet call but with phx "if user then call snippet" condition. This can work but its not very beautiful decision. Its not working. When using &anonymous=`1` snippet works only for unregistered users.
