Ok

there is a difference beetwen the last date.extender.inc.php and the dateFilter.extender...
The first one was useful to format the date plceholder according your local time
The second one named dateFilter is used by reflect

anyway if you wanted to call the dateFilter.extender your param should be &extenders=`dateFilter` and no more &extenders=`date`

Thanks for clarifying that heliotrope.

I’m still not getting the dates to show up though. Based on the debug output, shouldn’t the ’pub_date’ be retrieved from the database if I’ve specified that as my dateSource?

I’ve attached an image showing the debug output.

you are not running the latest version of ditto.

There is an awesome new debug mode.

Update your version from the first post of this thread.

Mark and heliotrope, I hang my head. embarrassed

I setup RC3 and the calls are working correctly - sorry about that.

I did try to see the debug console and even though the items were displaying correctly it threw a parse error in the popup window:

Error: wordwrap() expects parameter 1 to be string, array given

I tried a lot of different filters before giving up, although I found the list given here to have the opposite values of what I expected (or is it just me who’s confused?): http://ditto.modxcms.com/files/snippet-ditto-php.html#filter

Are you using RC3 p1 or p2 (look at the downloaded zip/tarball name)

For all those confused about filters:

The operators in that table are correct, however their application can be confusing. Say you have 3 documents with IDs 33,66, and 99. If you use &filter=`id,33,1` it will only show document 33 because 33==33 when the filter executes. If you used a 2 as the last digit, it would show all documents except 33.

Mark, I was using pc2; grabbed pc3 and the debug console is amazing! Great job!
