Hi

about filters:
Ditto will remove documents which match the criteria
So for instance, if your want to find all docs where parent is 1
your filter will be parent:1:1

Which means remove all documents where parents is != of 1

You won’t ask ditto parent:1:2 which we can translate as find doc where parent is 1
You have to ask the opposite of your aim.

@gcruz: You are missing the & in front of tagDelimiter.

@myan24: I’ll look into the PHx conflict... RE: "Finally, since upgrading to RC3 the debug console comes up with a ’page not found’ error." What is the path of the link to the debug console and what part if any is incorrect?

@AlexKay: I’m running on a (mt) Grid Server and I have no issues with dashes in the tpl. Could you pull the crash line from your log file and send it to me via PM so I can take a look? As for b) Heliotropes answer is spot on.

The new documentation area is great; much easier to quickly sift through!

I’m having an issue with multiple calls and found a post stating that the placeholders need to be appended with the id given to the call. Has this changed? It’s currently not working for me.

I’m pulling the three most current news items and displaying the links in the footer. On the actual news page this footer will still be displayed and with another list showing the six most current items. There will also be a link to the archive page which will display the remaining news items. The following works:

My footer call:

[!Ditto? &id=`footer` &tpl=`NewsLinksFooter` &parents=`13` &summarize=`3` &dateSource=`pub_date` &dateFormat=`%m-%d-%Y` &extenders=`date` !]

NewsLinksFooter:

<li>[+date+] <a href="[~[+id+]~]">[+title+]</a></li>

Adding another call with the id of ’press’ and adding another template with placeholders appended such as ’date_press’ doesn’t work.

What is the correct syntax for making multiple calls? huh

Hi,

I don’t think you have to add the ditto id prefix to your placeholders in the chunk (tpl) for multiples ditto call.
I guess this rule only applies to the pagination placeholders.

[+press_current+] for instance

To use multiple calls add &id=`unique name` to each Ditto call and then prefix all MODx (not Ditto template) placeholders with the id_. So for example if you had the id foo the pagination placeholders would all start with foo_ but the template placeholders like [+date+] would still remain the same.

I tried the two calls, identical with the exception of a unique ID, and the date in the footer links has subsequently disappeared.

The date and title appear correctly from the call with ’press’ but only the title appears from the call with ’footer’. In running debug on both calls it appears that the ’pub_date’ is completely missing from the footer.

Hi Mark,

i just noticed that the renderQELinks function assumes the QuickEdit module id is 1 but sometimes this settings will not match with the site settings.

manager/index.php?a=112&id=1&doc=

I’m using a very similar function in tveditor but I’ve experienced an error by hardcoding this value
Just wanted to share the info.

Hi,

In your call pasted in your previous post you have &extenders=`date`
In the latest version of ditto the date extenders has been removed.

The date extender has been removed? I thought it was new! And what is this:
