[Snippet] FeedX

Hi I am passing twitter user names use [+USERNAME+] and then using a snippet to remove the username from the front of te twitter feed for output,

The problem is if a username is johnsmith this is ok,
If the username is johnsmitth1 then the item.tpl is only "receiving" johnsmith or perhaps changeing the numerical character to a colon.

I am trying to find the problem but to no avail - can anyone help?

I am using php5.

I am just getting
" FeedX: : /Users/ivan/Sites/myclient/assets/snippets/FeedX/classes/feedx.class.inc.php "

and nothing in the php error log
in the event log there is a type 3 event from parser

I am calling the snippet from my template like this:
[[homepage-latest-blog-post? &url=`http://blog.myclient.com/atom.xml` &preset=`atom` &maxElements=1]]

can anyone tell me what I’m doing wrong or let me know what I should be looking at to debug?

This thread is getting to long. Might want to make a sub forum and clean up the outdated content.

In any case, I finally figured out how to pull the thumbnails and content images from flickr. Seems tplPreset was changed to preset and debug=1 is now used for the built in template builder (and other info).


The issue I am having, even though I am using a direct RSS feed privided by Flickr to a photo set as the url, I am still only receiving the "recent items"




converted from the Flickr provided:


I can load the direct feed into other aggregators, but seem to have a disconnect using FeedX.

I have also tried using Flickr’s tags= to pull it off and that also fails...

Any ideas would be appreciated.

Is there a possibility for display the news’s begining title ?

You can have access to any element in the feed. The templates are located in assets/FeedX. Edit those to your liking. If you had &debug=`1` to your snippet call it has a template builder that provides the placeholders you can use in your templates.

Fantastic snippet! My site is really starting to come alive now. I’m going to try working out a del.icio.us &tpl for FeedX that will display my most recent bookmarks. I haven’t been able to get that going by just dumping in my del.icio.us RSS. Should be a good learning experience. I’ll let you all know how it goes.
