[Snippet] FeedX

You need to have a preset in your call so it knows how to template the output.

Try using:

&preset=`rss`

Also, add &debug=`1` and you can use the template builder to edit the rss template located in assets/snippets/FeedX/tpl/rss to fit what information you want.

If you have trouble understanding the template builder, leave debug on and post a link to your site. Also include what you want your final output to look like (HTML code included).

i tried &preset=`rss` and &debug=`1` in various combinations (|xq|preset|xe|rss etc.) still no change.
See no code in the generated source either. Yahoo uses the weather channel and that seems the same as weather.com?
I have an other feed on the "nieuws" page. Maybe thats the issue?

Great.  The Debug window shows the template builder, which will allow me to help you further.  Don’t place preset in the URL, place it as a parameter.  So your call should be like this:



Then you need to post what you want your final output to look like on your webpage (including HTML).

okay done that, and indeed inside the debugger there is the forecast feed. So I wouldliketo shape it like on eg the example you have created with weather.com. So an Image and some data, wind speed etc. Is that done by using those tpl´s?
Haven´t quit grasped the logic behind that. inner outer, channel etc...:(
I ussualy start altering them one by one untill I find a change, trial and error.
Anyway would like to get this running so there also is a solution for the non US weather forecasts.

just changed the item.tpl and first tried normalletters and then capital (CAPITALS) and that gave me the decription. But I would like to get something like http://weather.yahoo.com/forecast/ITXX0082_c.html.
Do I need to make a new tlp? image.tpl? And then modifx channel tpl, add {{IMAGE->image}} ?Not sure however what toput in the image tpl?

Considering that Yahoo Weather uses the Weather Channel, you could likely use an rss feed provided by weather.com. Nonetheless, the feed can parsed pretty easily. Here is an example:

There is a link on that page to download the template used for it. Upload that to your assets/snippets/FeedX/tpl directory. Using the template I provided and the "template builder" inside the debug window should allow you to output it exactly as you want.

I studied the Google Calendars API but couldn’t make it out: Is there a way to subscribe to several calendars? And if not can I do this with one FeedX call?

You will likely have to use Google Events for this.

I tried GoogleEvents already. What I missed was the support of PHx. But I will try it again tomorrow, maybe it will work with the phx:google snippet for FeedX.

Not really sure how to use this as I am not sure how to use most things modx but I am trying. I have this link and I have all the file in the right place but when I call the snippet I get this error
