Hi I’ve been using FeedX for a while for simple parsing but I have run in to something I can’t figure out how to do. I get a XML feed from a real estate company listing an agents houses. Here’s a simplified version

<idinscr>1357932</idinscr>

<region_f>Montréal-Rive-Sud</region_f>
<description_f>** Very nice condo etc...</description_f>

I can get each house to display correctly but I can’t seem to find how to get the sold setting to display for each house. On average the listing contains 20-25 houses.
Templates are as follows
outer.tpl

Maybe this is a weird question, maybe not. What I’m trying to do is have FeedX automatically create documents based on an RSS feed. When articles post to the feed I would like a document created for each one. A user can browse the feed, click an article summary, than ends up on a page within my site where the article can be read. Is that doable? Maybe there is another snippet that can do this?

I didn’t think you were stealing it, but if it was your own feed, I was going to say there was an easier way. I don’t think FeedX is capable of doing what you want. You might have to code up something of your own, but I would take a look at the the NewsPublisher snippet to see how it creates documents. I would likely use SimplePie to get at the elements of the feed you need to create the document by methods like NewsPublisher uses. You can see how SimplePie can be utilized by looking at the Google Events snippet.
