Looks like you’ve got the setup okay to me ... at least the config is fine else you wouldn’t have got this far.

I’ve looked into this and it seems that the problems are Netscape-specific. I’ve trapped a few issues, but one seems to be with the tinyMCE core code somewhere along the line which is not going to be easy to sort out (it just happens to be the code that inserts the link when ’Insert’ is clicked and affects the other default plugins as well - it only happens when Netscape is running on the FF engine, switching to the IE engine seems to function okay)

Anyway, so far the tree has been displaying okay for me - my suggestion is to doublecheck that all the files have been copied over correctly (especially the dtree.js file). It could be that something has gotten corrupted somewhere along the line.

Other than that, it would be helpful if you could post the contents of the javascript console so I can see if anything is reported there that may hint to the problem. (PM me if you want) Clear the console and then just refresh the edit page where tinyMCE is running and run the plugin, then copy the contents that are displayed to get rid of any non-modxlink errors.

I have occasionally had problems especially with js files having the line breaks not recognized or corrupted on upload, and any comments in the code suddenly comment out the rest of the entire file. Usually using an editor that can convert all line breaks to UNIX line breaks on the original file, then uploading it again, fixes the problem. Oddly enough, this can happen on only one or two files in an entire package upload.

Thanks for the reply. I tried to reply yesterday, but the Island’s internet was underwater and running very slow. After rain & lightning all day yesterday, this morning appears to be just fine.

Anyway, I’ve tested in FireFox and IE also with the same results.

You can view the java console below. Please note that I re uploaded all files and am still getting these errors. A little strange.

Okay, it looks like you have an apostrophe in one of the page titles that isn’t being escaped properly by the plugin - should be easily fixable but I won’t be able to try it out until I get home from work in a few hours.

I’ll post back later once I’ve tested out a fix.

I took out the apostrophe and it works just fine now.

Looks really good, Garry! So far it’s working pretty good! Question though is though, do you think this works well enough to submit to the Repository as an official add-on to the TinyMCE plugin? If so, I’ll help you add it in. However, if you think that others might run into issues with it then perhaps we need to hold off temporarily on adding it in and just keep it on the forums. Your call! I’ll continue testing it though.

I’m looking at pushing out Beta2 over the weekend which fixes a few issues I’ve found and will also include an ajax-driven tree which should make it suitable for sites with a large number of documents. Beta2, if it tests successfully across different browsers, should be suitable for adding as an official add-on in the Repository.

Cool, Garry! Also, a quick tip for ya...if you want to fix problems with the use of quotes in page titles, trying using the htmlspecialchars function on the pagetitle variable in your PHP file:



I did this on a similar deal and it worked great!
