[BETA.0.2] : TV Editor => edit TV options values

I do wish that thing would give the line number involved! If it’s just trapping the PHP errors, that should be possible.

It’s a known bug,  line 104 from file tveditor.snippet.php.
You have to give a default value to pageSize.

EDIT: I’m planning to rewrite most of the code.
But first I’ll release a working version with the basic feature (editing and updating of options )

Hi all,

I’m still working on the module, and decided to rewrite it totally to make it easily maintainable.
I’ve done about 50% of the work.

But I’d like to get advices.
I’m facing an issue about right management.

As Tv values are attached to documents, if the User update the tv options his changes will affect documents even if he hasn’t the correct rights to do it.

I’m not sure how to resolve this issue.
Should I check first which document are attached to the TV, check for the user rights and if he is not allowed to change one of the doc attached to the TV what should I do?

Should I prohibit him to edit the TV options?

Hi all,

I’ve almost finished to rewrite the tveditor module.
I think I will be able to release the new beta version by the end of the week.

The module is now multilingual.
And will ship with an auto installer.

The auto-installer uses MODx Resources Wizard from Scotty ?

I haven’t found time to read how to set up a package.
I thought I would write my own or people would have to install both MODx Resources Wizard and tveditor
In the meantime as tveditor depends on the required chunks it gives me the ability to replace missing chunks in case they would be erased by accident.

Hi folks,

I’m still working on the module and have added some cool features such as a form builder to allow advanced search on TVS
All you have to do is to select which TVs you want to display and the form is built automatically.
Filters are created "on the fly" and allows much more accurate results.

For instance if you have tree TVs relative to Wine

TV1 = Appellation(multiple)
TV2 = Color(multiple)
TV3 = Categories (single)

Now you can display only Wines wich are
=> (appelation) Bordeaux OR Bourgogne
AND => Color = Red
AND => Categories = AOC

For now, It’s just a preview the listing is built by ditto and I’m trying to figure out how to manage the pagination

Most of the features of tvEditor are available.
I didn’t plan to add the form builder in this release but i’m so close from the solution (I need to call ditto in the manager)
Except that feature everything works fine:
- options editing (check for existing and duplicated options included)
- update documents which have a value for this Tv when options are changed.

the advanced search form(tvExplorer) in front end is also available at 80%. It needs a better integration with ditto
I ’ve asked mark if I could tweak some ditto code to make it check if it’s in front end or back end and make url accordingly.

Once done, I’ll have to write the auto installer.

till there I will release a first version of tveditor whithout the search features and form builder.
