Love site 5 Don’t use their VPS cos i don’t need that much power. Running the 3 sites in my sig on Revo on their shared hosting server and have no problems with any of them, but also they are not heavly used sites either. But have always had emails answered promptly from support.
AMDBuilder is one of their main supporters.
I’m sure you’ll be happy. And darn it another chance missed to pass on affiliate code is must remember that.

Well seeing as how my name is being put out there I might as well speak up
Site5 is a very vocal company, one of the few in which I have seen regular client <> ceo interaction, both on the forums and twitter. He is regularly following up on any noted problems, and if you have any he always welcomes you to email him directly.
I know of at least three people who switched on my suggestion, all love them (and do a better job of spreading the word than me).
Seeing as how you already have the trial, I will let them speak for themselves.
Hi,
I look forward to seeing how you make out - I dumped Site5 a couple years ago. All my sites’ performance began to slide, to the point where sites were down a bunch of times every week. One time I was applying for jobs and potential employers found my site down. Boy does that make you look like a jackass.
Their support at the time was this: a sysadmin would stop the offending process (which wasn’t me) and say, OK, you’re all set, bye. I did some digging and found that a giant pig of a site was basically bringing down everyone else on that box. I explained this, basically doing their job for them, and asked to be moved to another server. They turned me down flat. I got out of there so fast their heads were spinning.
I blogged about that, and lo and behold, the above mentioned CEO actually responded, saying that the company had been purchased, and that things were changing, please come back, and so on. I hope that you’re experiencing this good service now.

Hello samba,
Do you recall if this was after Ben and Joel took over Site5? The migrations to The Planet were on hold still for unknown reasons?
The prior owner (founder) had let things slide for a few years prior to the change in owners, so I suspect you were a member during the darker period in their history.
I’d definitely give my "thumbs up" to Site5. They are affordable, fast, and have top notch support. Thus far, I’ve only seen downtime once and it was for a very short period.
To reiterate, their support is truly second-to-none. I don’t think I’ve dealt with a better support team than Site5. Often times they have even been happy to help with non-hosting related issues. They are available 24/7 and I’ve never had to wait more than a minute to be talking with a live person. Yes, often times they’ve had to forward me to their second level techs, but they are also available around the clock and usually respond within 15 minutes.
I’ve used both reseller and shared hosting plans, so I don’t have direct experience with their VPS plans, but their support alone makes it worth the while!
Shameless Plug for Liquid Web.
Can’t begin to say enough positive things about this company. Storm on Demand (cloud solution) is also an excellent cloud based vps solution from them.
- Just a happy customer
