I am still learning MODx, so am still using the default install templates while I finish my new templates.

I followed all the instructions (even went the extra step to get the jquery.js script (even tho it’s supposed to work with swfobject (which I properly put in the directory per instructions), I then went into the document content field of the home page and tried calling the snippet:

If you’ve downloaded the attachment in http://modxcms.com/forums/index.php?topic=32907.msg204091#msg204091 you’ll have to cut off the php-Tags.

Hey, I have this working quite well on one of my sites but wondered how to get the transparency working on the background? I have an image that is fixed on the page and if it scrolls over the cloud, it goes behind the flash. I know that the <param name="wmode" value="transparent" /> fixes this issue but I can’t get it working with cumulus. Any idea how to get the transparency working correctly?

There seems to be a bug in the snippet from the repository.

and use the snippet like this:

(or change default value of &wmode in line 44)

Thanks for the quick reply. What would I use for the background color as it’s still not transparent. I tried

&wmode=`true` &bgcolor=``
&wmode=`true` &bgcolor=`transparent`

but the background was not transparent. What am I doing wrong?

Thanks, still having problems with PHP parsing. I am using (and had been using) cumulus_04.txt file as snippet source. I made the last changes suggested, including:

I made the following change on line 237 as directed: ’.$soname.’.addParam("wmode", "’.$wmode.’");

And changed the call according to the instructions above:
[!cumulus_swf? &parent=`0` &landing=`99` &tvTags=`documentTags` &wmode=`true`!]

I got the divide by zero error again, so as an earlier poster suggested in the snippet I also removed the "<?php" and ">?" tags in the snippet.

I still get the same error.

Here is the error I get:

Am I missing a PHP module? I’m running PHP 5 (believe it’s 5.25). Any help much appreciated.

PS... double bracketing the snippet call yields no error but there is zero visible in the actual page (there are posts with tagged comments so the TV ’documentTags’ must have some kind of data (in default install). I have not posted to the blog as of yet.

Line 178 should be:

I think, that you don’t have a template variable named "documentTags" or you didn’t enter any tags in it. Sorry, i didn’t read carefully - maybe i should check the snippet with default install (will take some time).


[Edit] Got it! The tags in default install are separated by space, so you have to change tagDelim in your snippet call:

BTW : For transparency please use
in snippet call


Knowing this, you should change your landing page (described by &landing=`99`) also to:

Solved everything else except one thing - I get 404 errors still on any click of any tag in the tag cloud - could this have something to do with search engine friendly urls?
