mootool accordion

You have added the mootools.js and accordion/demo.js files in the body section of the page. They belong in the head section (as rossco mentioned before).

Also, in the default templates all scriptaculous files are also loaded. If you don’t need them (yet), get rid of them. You might have conflicts with other javascript. Right now Firebug detects 38 javascript errors on http://www.glpath.net/modx/index.php?id=47 , none on page 48 (but there is no head and body section defined in that one). Only include the files you really need and add them one by one to find out which one starts causing errors. Good practice and good for performance as well.

makes sense...not aware of the javascript monitor tool you mentioned....i will research as well...thx

Firebug is an add-on/extension for Firefox. That one together with another one called ’Web Developer’, designing and debugging is much more fun

Two things I found out while implementing the Request.HTML mootool:

I have typed this:  <a href="#" id="makeRequest">Get HTML</a> as instructed by the tutorial,

And that link is supposed to start the java action, but, instead of starting the action, that link takes me back to my index page.

I hardcoded my link to the exact page (....index.php?id=122#)  and that took care of the problem.



Also, when I was logged in as a manager, the QuickEdit interfered with MooTools or so it appeared.  Got around this by using IE7 to edit, and Safari to check.

EDIT: Originally I also seemed to have problems in Firefox with both Request.HTML and Accordion, but the problem seemed to have been the local install.

The next couple posts were in response to my request for someone to double-check for me. It seems to be working all around. Thanks guys.
