Sounds about right but I’m not sure about switch commands.... I’ve mailed my host to see what limitations they have.

Another thing I need help with is saving 2 databases that use the same password but different usernames.

Example of the database settings

user : web160-site
user : web160-forum

both use the same password. I wasn’t sure how to edit the config to cover 2 different usernames.

I just had a reply back from my host... they are not limiting anything that should have any bearing on the backup. So they say

I was however told to try increase the memory_limit in my php.ini file which I did to
memory_limit=60M

I changed the settings in the config to
seconds = 600
megabytes = 800

The zip file still won’t budge past 97.44mb for some reason. If I use their directory backup option the zip is something like 358mb. The zip created by the backup script that is 97.44mb definitely isn’t complete as inside there are missing folders etc. Are there any other settings I can try?

I didn’t have a website over 50MB to test during development so I never ran across the conditions you have. The zip process is running through a PHP class called Pclzip. I’ll take a look at the available options in PCLzip to see if there are additional switches to make available that will enable huge zip files. I’m traveling this week so it will be the end of the weekend before I can get to this one. Can you hang in there until then?

I just tested it and it appears to of stopped at 114mb this time?

It’s late here so I don’t have time to download the zip to see what’s in it but I suspect it may not be complete as the site is over 357mb.

I’ll check it again tomorrow after work and post the results. I don’t suppose you have answer to saving the 2 databases using different usernames do you?

The zip file contains an updated zip command that turns off compression. It should enable the zip process to complete. I didn’t setup the scripts to use multiple host, user, password values. If that becomes more common I can always roll it into a future release.
