should be removed from the code as it breaks the site on the iphone or at least it’s one of the reasons it breaks( I think )
handheld.css might be a part of this problem

The code includes both html5.js and modernizr.js at the same time. html5.js only for sites < IE9
Is there a reason why you use both? I think they both do the same thing, modernizr a bit more.
