multiItemsGridTV now on github for testing

Please help me, i tried to install you cool thing. Copied the files to the folders, make a propertyset and import your example. Assign it to my tv with type multiitemdgrid make to tv one image and one richtext. I have tinyMCE installed and a lot of own tvs here. And if i open the resource i assigned the tv to i get an "syntax error ()" in firebug on only see my tvs an the title of the multiitemsgrid tv. Javascript has aborted an categorys are not show.

Can someone help me?

I am using modx 2.0.7 on mac with mamp. Browsers Safari and firefox

did you import the properties to the default-properties of your multiItemsGridTv?
I didn’t try it with others than the default-properties.

yes i added the default one



got error in tpl file i think. I made a freh install a few minutes ago but same problem. I made step by step from wiki manual, no idea whats wrong.

test with 2.0.7 and 2.0.4 now and got the same errors

On Windows it runs without Problems on my local machine after uplaoding to my server i get an error from extjs. Maybe permission problem but what? On my mac (from my first post) it runs not under Mamp? Perssionon too? Hope you can help me. UNder Windows i love it.

One error under Windows (i know now it is on all tested systems ), after click on add new only a new line is added after click edit the window opens and i can input data. But doesn`t it need to open this windows after click add new?


OK it is a few hour later and i have testet something, on my mac with mamp if have two installs of modx 2.0.7 pl one fresh and one with a few templates, tvs and chunks. Both have the same tinyMCE version. On the fresh it runs fine on the other not only if i remove the image tv type. Copied the image tv type file from fresh to the other version but same problems. Another Problem on all systems i testet (xammp on work with windows and apache webserver Linux) i can not use the property sets. If i assign it to the tv ich get an error by load the resource. i return the proerty array from multiitemsgrid.php a could see it was empty. With this code line and manual inserted propertys for the tv i could see the properties would be there. After remove the line and reload the error was gone. But on my mamp and the webserver i can not get it further. After add new and click edit i get error with firebug.



I am at the end of testing, there is nothing more i can test i think so please help me to get it run. I testet it on the fresh install and i love it.

One more testing, after remove one tv after one from the properties i found that

Date will not be shown but no error,
file and image give the error,
dropdown give me that error to,
list and multi list shows correct, but not save any data to the grid,
radio button is correct but give me display errors and save no data to grid,
url, tag, auto-tag, textbox and textbox mini show up fine but save no data to the grid

hope this help to make it work

the problem above are only on the version with mamp and other plugins, snippet, templates and chunks. On the version where it run the things above i think will also run. Tested only one other.

Where do i copy it to? and which part do i copy. the example is a bit daunting.

so How are these TV’s linked to the Multigrid?

and how do i loop through the TVs on my resource to get am nicely on the page.

there is no other tutorial than that on github.

did you create the tv and could you choose multiitemsgridTV as tv-input-type?

then go to the page properties of that TV. unlock default-properties and import this js-file from your pc.
its really explained step by step how to get it basically to work.

in Revo 2.0.7 I noticed that the delete button in the manager created by the multiitem TV tpl does not work. I click on delete and nothing happens. Is there maybe a fix for this?

the delete-button is working for me.

The package that I downloaded is Bruno17-multiItemsTv-c3b8c09.
I am using it to save a min and max range for a list of zip codes that are associated with people in the database. Each person is a resource in the site tree. So for each person I can add a new range.

I installed both tpl files in the correct folders and made a new snippet called getImagelist and pasted the php script into the modx snippet.

Maybe I installed it wrong?

I am using PHP 5.3.3-7
