  FYI a not insignificant part of the work is making it work in broader server environments and also in making it much easier to theme. We've made great progress on these fronts, too.

  I hope we're able to get the new skin in broad use by updating these forums in the next week or so. After then it's time to cleanup the new default template, document everything, and to test, test, test ahead of its release.

  Do you think this will be released by the end of January ?
  
  Only reason I ask is that I am updating my site with a new theme and want to start a Forum on it and would love to use Discuss to keep it all under 1 roof, but that said I will be setting the new site live at the end of march so kind of time restricted.
