  I’m happy to announce that an early alpha preview of Discuss is now available:
  
  http://modxcms.com/extras/package/609 (or via Package Management in your Revo install)
  
  However, be warned - this is very alpha: things wont work, lots is still left to do, and there will be lots of bugs.
  
  The docs (to be written and expanded) are here:
  http://svn.modxcms.com/docs/display/ADDON/Discuss
  
  Feel free to post thoughts, suggestions, bugs, etc here in this thread.

  The only observation I have is not at all important, but the name could be confused with the Disqus threaded commenting service. Just for thought

  1st of all nice work on the threaded forum idea, i really like it.
  
  Al tho there are some things that are not working atm due to some malformed urls. :’(
  
  F.I. Apache doesn’t understand
  index.php?id=666?action=mgr/board/getNodes&id=root
  
  which in this case happened in the manager
  
  and there a couple of more of those instances in the php code, about 70 to be more exact.
  most of them i managed to get out, but the ones that are in the Javascript part are a bit harder for me.
  
  For the rest it is needless to say superb work and i really would like to see you finish it.
  For i for one would use it straight away.
  
  Thanks to FF with Firebug addon i found those malformed URLs.
  
  Keep Up The Good Work.
  
  since it doesn’t allow me to upload simple .patch files you need to change the file extension yourself
  (maybe a thought for the system admin )
