Level of interaction in subdomains (different contexts)

I don’t see where you’ve created a virtual host for your second domain. In order for that technique to work, a user who enters the URL of the second domain has to be directed by the host to the MODx root directory. You have to own the second domain name and either edit the httpd-vhosts.conf file or do something in cPanel that will alter it for you.

Still no solution? I am just about to do it the old way, which at least works for me.

There are three different solutions out there (OneGatewayPlugin, folders and manipulated index.php) none of them worked for me. Although I think they are all quite easy.

getResources is a separate issue from Contexts working. Get the Contexts operational first, then we can worry about how you are listing Resources from foreign Contexts; it may require a custom Snippet depending on what you are trying to accomplish.

At first I want to thank you OpenGeek (and everybody else who may come in later) for still contributing on this thread.

I set up a multiple site installation using a "manipulated" index.php. Which basically contains the content of the OneGatewayPlugin (you can see that here).

As you said, before we look into GetResource of different contexts, lets get this basic installation working.
It basically works (despite v.s.) as long as I do not use Friendly URLs. If I turn Friendly URLs to YES MODx (maybe Wayfinder?) messes up the paths with documents being containers. That means If I click on a container the path becomes http://www.myurl.com/container/ which is ok. But If i click on that container again, the path becomes http://www.myurl.com/container/container/. So containers aliases are always added to the URL.

If I click a single document the path is rewritten correctly: http://www.myurl.com/document.html as long as I did not click a container before. If I did the document is added to the ULR which results in http://www.myurl.com/container/document.html.

I did not change anything in system settings (but Friendyl URLs) nor in .htaccess which I just renamed.

So is this an issue with Wayfinder which is not rewriting the path correctly? I use the default Wayfinder templates.

I can change the container_suffic from "/" to ".html" which works. But I’d like to use "/".

This is because you don’t have <base href="[[!++site_url]]" /> in your Template HEAD. All MODx templates should always have a base tag pointing to the current context’s site_url. This is true of Evolution and Revolution and has always been the case.

You are right and I am sorry! I could have come up with it myself.

So, what about snippets? Is there a way to reach/show from another context?

Any news on this?
