Package manager

I’m trying to install any packages from "MODx Web Transport Facility".
But on any package I’ve tried, I get as a result "package not installed" and in core/packages/ dir in .zip file simple HTML page.
Looks like something wrong with "MODx Web Transport Facility"

What packages have you tried, specifically and which version of MODx Revolution are you using?

I used  2.0.0.-alpha-6 and yesterday svn checkout.
I tried to install tinymce latests version.
BTW, I can’t download any package from http://wtf.modxcms.com/downloads/?relPath=add-ons. Any click on .zip package redirect to http://wtf.modxcms.com/downloads/ page.
I use FF 3 and IE 7.

Just installed Captcha 3.02-beta via the MODX WTF as a test here, no problems, downloaded and installed fine.

As an example, try to download http://wtf.modxcms.com/downloads/?d=add-ons/ditto-2.1.2-alpha2.transport.zip but downloading is not happening.

Ah! no I installed it through the package manager in revo, go to ’add new package’->’select provider’, follow the instructions and its downloaded for you, all you need do then is install it. Why would you want to directly download from this site?

Because at this momen I’m working through a proxy server and downloading from the repository to be done manually for debugging.

OK, you can always get the latest component packages from the component repo, http://svn.modxcms.com/svn/modx-components, check them out, build them yourself and do a local install, this is what I tend to do.

If you’re not using the latest SVN builds of Revo, most of those packages are not valid anyway. We will clean this up in the next few weeks and post the latest packages, in conjunction with final preparations for beta release.
