    ...you must empty your core/cache/ directory manually - specifically the core/cache/config.cache.php file.

    This is due to some changes we’ve made to xPDO’s cache management abilities. We apologize for the inconvenience.

      Thanks, Shaun. Not sure of the best practice here, but I simply removed my entire /cache directory, and then recreated with Writable permissions. The install went forward without a problem!

        I don’t know if this is related.. well, it is related to the cacheManager anyway..

        In order to run the Revolution installer in "Upgrade", I had to hack a couple of files to get past errors.

        Environment is L-A-MySQL 4.1.25-Debian_mt1-PHP 5.2.6.(CGI/FastCGI)

        The hack was just checking that the cacheManager is an object before trying to do something with it.

        model/modx/modx.class.php, line 2508:
        if (is_object($this->cacheManager) && !$config = $this->cacheManager->get('config')) {

        model/modx/modaction.class.php, line 48:
        if (is_object($this->modx->cacheManager) && $this->modx->cacheManager->generateActionMap($cacheKey, $options)) {

        Installer then completed upgrade fine. The installation summary page always looks keerazee on this server though. Like a Mb of php errors, dumps and then the html that’s supposed to be on the page. It takes a minute to find the "Continue" button.

          Interesting, I’ve just updated to r4834 with no probs, mind you I now login and clear the cache before doing a rebuild/upgrade just in case. Don’t know what your errors are, its OK here on my windows/linux boxes.
